Let me start off that this was a typical Korean drama. After episode 9, after slugging away my emotions to pulp and hating the characher Chae Young to wishing for her death, I had to skip to the last episode. And you know what? I didn't miss a single thing. I didn't see the trauma of the love quadrangle the show was working on. I didn't see the start of Shin Bi's illness which would have been torture beyong belief.

What I did see? I saw the end of the quadrangle and the start of the loving relationship of Se-jin and Seung-wan. I didn't see a death. I didn't see the family fight over Shin Bi. Let's put it this way.......from episode 10-15 was the same old, same old dragged out till you bleed drama. So in other words, there really wasn't any movement in the show. I might have missed some things which I might go back and see what I missed but for now....I wish the Korean drama figures would get a brain like the Japanese and just get to the gist of the story and move on.

On the whole.....the movie started out wonderfully and ended wonderfully. A very good drama but typically sluggish and emotionally draining.

Would I see it again? Probably so.....give me few more months when I get bored and am looking to watch some reruns..................

transfers into his class, and much to Kairu's surprise, it is the same boy he had encountered before. Kairu tries to put the past behind him and keep their relationship a secret, but the brash Sora is not about to let go of love so easily.
Kanno Atsumi
Ahhhh! Another yaoi movie. Gotta love those Japanese and their gay movies. I don't know why but their yaoi movies are always so.....so......so loving. I can't explain it.
Boys Love The Movie
I was a little dissapointed because Saito Takumi wasn't in this movie this time but his co-star from the first movie, Kotani Yoshikazu. I will start off first with.......OMG!!!!! The very first scene is intensely erotic and Kanno Atsumi is totally hot in this movie. He definitely took this role seriously. The only thing I didn't like is that when he talked, he always seemed out of breath. I don't know if it was nerves or he had a stopped up nose or what.

Another fangirl made movie. Yeah, I'll admit, I like them. Hot guys that make our estrogen swoon in merriment. Yeah..........can you blame me?

Tokyo Boy (Tokyo Shonen/東京少年 -2008)

Photobucket
Starring:
Maki Horikita
Takuya Ishida
Reiko Kusamura
Mitsuru Hirata

Minato is a young girl who was traumatized at a young age by being abandoned by her parents and left with her senile grandmother. She frequently corresponds with a pen-pal named Night, a boy about the same age as her that she's never actually seen in person. Although Minato and Night are very different - Minato is upbeat while Night is brooding, they get along anyway and she regularly updates him on the happenings in her daily life. Minato is even willing to confide in Night that she's falling in love with a boy she's recently met named Shu. One day she wakes up and finds Shu acting extremely distant and tentative around her. She suspects Night may have something to do with this....

This was a very interesting movie. I wasn't sure how this was going to play out. I've read that Horikata Maki was awesome in this. Well, I guess I was expecting more. She was a great actress in this movie but it wasn't anything exceptional. So she played a "male" and female in the movie. The "male" role was okay. I think any good actress would have came across well. So I guess I help my hopes up higher than what was expected.

I'm not saying this movie was a bomb. NO!!!! It was an excellent movie. Something interesting and a little different. I thought the story was great and flowed well to keep me interested.

A very sad tale about dissassociative disorder. Well, not too sad. The ending was sweet and endearing.

I won't give this movie a Rupert and Ebert "two thumbs up". But it was worth my time and effort to watch and is such a good movie that most fans of Maki will enjoy. B+, yes. Definitely.

Ryoutaro Pictures, Images and Photos
Ryotaro Nogami is a young man with a lot of bad luck. One day, he finds a strange pass and things got stranger from a mysterious girl and a large time-traveling train to being possessed by an entity called an Imagin, beings from an alternate future whose kind are attempting to change the past. Though slightly confused about the nature of the crisis, Ryotaro, along with the aid of the hot-headed Imagin, dubbed Momotaros, becomes Kamen Rider Den-O, traveling to different times on the Den-Liner to battle the evil Imagin to prevent them from altering the past to affect the present and future. Urataro and Momo Pictures, Images and Photos
During his adventure, Ryotaro is joined by other Imagin who aid him as well; the womanizing Urataros, the herculean (and narcoleptic) Kintaros, and Ryuutaros Pictures, Images and Photos
the childish yet powerful Ryutaros. He later meets the mysterious Yuto Sakurai and his bumbling Imagin partner Deneb. Yuuto Pictures, Images and Photos
Yuto is not only Kamen Rider Zeronos but is the younger incarnation of Ryotaro's older sister Airi's fiance, Sakurai, who mysteriously disappeared and is tied to the mysteries revolving the Imagin and the Junction Point.

You knew this one was comin'. LOL!

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. This past weekend, I had to go camping with my son's cub scout pack. It's been a long weeeeeeeeeekend. I'm so tired. Just typing this is draining what is left of my energy.

Well, this KR seemed to take forever for me to watch. It wasn't that appealing to me at first. The story line was confusing and it seemed forever before I caught on. I will say this......okay.....this was the most hilarious out of all the KR's I've seen so far. OMG! The Imagin's that possessed Ryotaro were insane. Momo was a hoot. But I will say I think I liked Urataros and Ryutaros the best. Urataros and his chauvinistic ways and Ryutaros' sweet, childish rants were a joy to watch. I think I cried everytime Ryutaros did. I'm not joking. He was so sweet and innocent and truly loved Airi. *sigh*

I'm still a little confused at the end, so I'm hoping the three movies (yes, I will watch them eventually) will clear up some of my confusion.

I'm so happy that I finally finished this though. I thought I never would. Takeru-kun's voice was so sweet and gentle, it was really hard for me to put him as a KR but I guess Momo's possession made up for that. Yo, and Takeru can dance (while possessed by Ryotaros). But we all know in real life, that was Takeru-kun!!!! Very talented!!!

Oda Yuji plays a teacher who guides a group of seniors at a prep school in Shonan, though his character is described as "stupid."

OMG! The cute boy factor was really there. That was the only good thing about this show. I held on but the end just died. The beginning of the story was quite hopeful and inspiring but to me the show lost it's touch midway. And damn it! Did they really have to kill off Hachi? I really didn't need to cry through two episodes straight.

I don't really think the show was realistic after Hachi's death. I don't know of any human being who would be "friendly" with the person who tormented him through guilt. Yeah, he was a nice guy and all but he really deserved what he got if he was to get on a boat with freaky girl gone suicidal. Then afterwards, the "gang" forgave her for her craziness and Hachi's death to me became meaningless.

And because of Hachi's death, everyone decided to go their own ways? WTF? I don't think that was it. Maybe I lost something somewhere in translation? Ya think? I was really hopefull through this show but it left me high and dry.

Miss Kim Makes 1 Million (파란만장 미스 김 10 억 만들기 / Paranmanjang Miseu Kim 10 Eok Mandeulgi -2004)

Also known as:
Miss Kim's Making One Billion Won Project / Miss Kim's Adventures in Making a Million (KBFD) / Troublemaker Miss Kim (YesAsia) / Ms. Kim's Million Dollar Quest
Miss Kim Makes 1 Million
Starring:
Kim Hyun Ju as Kim Eun Jae
Ji Jin Hee as Park Moo Yeol
Kim Sung Ryung as Suh Woo Kyung
Park Gun Hyung as Yoo Young Hoon

On her wedding day Kim Eun Jae is left standing at the alter by her groom, Yoo Young Hoon, for wealthy Suh Woo Kyung. Her wedding photographer, Park Moo-yeol, is a rich playboy who helps Eun-jae avoid embarrassment by pretending to be her husband. Soon after Moo-yeol's family goes bankrupt. The family home will be sold if he can't come up with money quick. Eun Jae meanwhile is convinced that if she becomes wealthy Young Hoon will come back to her.

Eun-jae and Moo-yeol decide to join forces. They move in together and invest in moneymaking schemes one after the other. Making money unfortunately isn't as easy as they had hoped. As outside forces (and Woo Kyung) line up against them, the two begin to realize that though they may be unlucky in money they are very lucky in love.

Another Korean drama that I especially liked. The love triangle/quadrangle, whatever you want to call it, wasn't too overly intense to make me angry or give me an upset stomach. Those kinds of dramas put me off to the point that I don't finish them or don't even attempt to start them.

This drama was intensely funny. They weren't the overly gross type of funny that drowns in body function noises or puking.

I tried watching this before but have no clue what put me off. I'm going to assume that it was the viewing site that brushed me off. If the subbing is atrocious, the story becomes more of a chore to follow. I happened to find a decent site and the subbing was actually *gasp* in adequate English.

I don't know how many times I have said this but I hate having to "translate" English subtitles into decent readable English.

You'll fall in love with the main characters of Miss Kim and Moo-yeol. I don't know why but I actually loved the storyline. It wasn't overly too intense and the funny moments kept the pace up without getting boring. I watched this all in one day and a half (I have to sleep eventually...LOL!)

Take a peek at Ji Jin Hee. He's so cute!

Ha Jung Woo as Kim Jae Yoon
Kim Jung Min as Kim Young Doo
Yoon Ji Min as Jung In Hee
Extended Cast

Jung Dong Jin as Kim Il Joo (HIT team member)

The Homicide Investigation Team (H.I.T.) led by Cha Soo Kyung was established to investigate the case of a serial killer. The other four members were assigned from different precincts and when they first started, they all have their own ulterior motives and none of them was confortable with working as a team or trusted each other. Added to the mix, a rookie prosecutor Kim Jae Yoon was sent by the District Attorney's Office to keep an eye on the police's work. This drama depicts how cases were solved and how the members evolved into really working as a team.

I freakin' loved this drama. Totally out of this world. The action was great. The story and sub stories had substance. The love was believable. I loved the cat-and-mouse games. The thrillers were thrilling.

I loved the acting and the actors who played the parts. Such a wonderful drama. I'm so glad I made myself watch it. I wasn't actually sure what I was headed into. But dang, if it didn't surprise me.

I really don't know what to say except that anyone who is reading my blog has got to see this! No " ands, ifs or buts".

You'll totally fall for it.

My Mighty Princess (무림여대생 / Murim yeodaesaeng -2008)

My Mighty Princess
Starring:
Min-a Shin - So-hwy
Ju-wan On - Il-young
Geon Yu - Jun-mo
Supporting Cast
Jae-sung Choi - Kap-seong
Ye-jin Lim - Hye-in
Dae-kun Lee - Cheon-pong
Jeong-se Oh
Ji-su Lee - Ji-yeon
Kwang-kyu Kim -
Dion Lam - Keol-wang

KANG So-hwi, a beautiful martial arts prodigy, is about to embark on a journey into adulthood. But her journey is like no other. Her super-human strength and martial arts prowess scares away her fellow undergrads and even the boy she has fallen for. Devastated, So-hwi decides to give up martial arts and takes a different path. Her father, a martial artist himself, is afraid of losing an heiress to the family’s martial artistry, and missions So-hwi’s old buddy Ilyoung to persuade her to stay in the field. Meanwhile, the evil Heuk-bong provokes a war to conquer the martial arts world with the legendary Fine Blade he stole in the past, killing every swordsman one after another. So-hwi’s father comes to a showdown with Heuk-bong, but the battle leaves him fatally injured. On the brink of her father’s death, So-hwi picks up a sword again with a burning desire for revenge.

Where do I start with this movie? There were so many sweet and stunning parts but they don't make up for the stupid mistakes of the production staff. This movie lost focus at the end. So-hwi had an unclassified crush on Jun-mo. This crush was so outrageous. I'm surprised Jun-mo didn't up and run from the fear of stalking this girl put on. Jun-mo on the other hand was in love with an older female cop who saved him.

Story from this point on, seemed to keep focus. So-hwy and her "almost" harassment of Jun-mo and Jun-mo's almost stalker like infatuation of the older female cop. Seemed okay. Then enters our other male stud.....Il-young. He has had a crush on So-hwy from the times when they were small children training in martial arts. His stalking was almost on par with So-hwi's with Jun-mo.

Once the male, antagonist enters the picture the story loses grip. What happened with So-hwi's crush? He falls off the face of the earth while she retrains to fight. We learn that Il-young is not who he seems. Somewhere in the story, So-hwi remembers she loved Il-young and tries to save him but somehow the story....something was lost. Don't get me wrong. This was a tooooo cute movie, but I just wished they hadn't rushed the ending.

Okay, the very best part of the movie was when So-hwi does save Il-young. It was a very sweet moment.....but it would have made me cry if they added more. Damn them!!!

White Panic (Fu Rai/ 怖来 -2005)

Fu Rai
Starring:
Shugo Oshinari - Ken Goubara
Ayaka Maeda - Yumi Umezawa
Kazuo Yashiro - Sayoon Kim
Fumiaki Mitsuyama - Boo Motokawa

Ken, Yumi, Kim, and Maekawa are locked up in a mysterious room. Despite the fact that their memories are unclear and they do not know each other, they start searching for the reason why they are here. But what is the room with white powder that they are facing… What is the point they have in common? What happens after the powder is gone?

Okay this movie was totally freaky. Off the chart, psychotic. I can't believe I watched it all the way through. In the end, the point was made.

We discover that "natural resources" are depleting....almost nonexistent. Why the four people are left in the room and why they are connected to this one discovery of "natural resources" is soon discovered at the end.

The movie is just a little over an hour long. So you don't end up with a lot of unnecessary parts to the movie. They get to the gist of the story quick and the end will leave you totally stunned. Okay, it did me. I sort of laughed even though it wasn't really funny. It was NOT a happy ending but the way it ended was well......nuclear. LOL!

Good Times, Bed Times (戀上你的床 / Luen seung ngei dik chong -2003)

Good Times, Bed Times
Starring:
Ching Wan Lau - Raymond
Sammi Cheng - Carrie
Louis Koo - Inspector Paul Ko Chi Keung
Charlene Choi - Tabbie
Sandra Ng Kwan Yue - BoBo Au
Philip Chan - Superintendent
Pinky Cheung - Ah P
Sui-man Chim - Uncle Lam
Niki Chow - Girl at hair salon
Tien You Chui
Suet Lam - Judge Chow
Tats Lau
Lik-Chi Lee
Tony Leung Ka Fai
You-Nam Wong
Yuk-Man Wong

Bored judge Raymond (Ching Wan Lau) indulges himself in one-night stands and flirtations, causing his girlfriend Ah Qiu (Sammi Cheng) to leave him. Ah Qiu, a journalist, doesn't lose any time in falling in love with Keung (Louis Koo), a super-cop she is sent to interview. The only problem is that after a narrow brush with death, Keung is now unable to perform any conjugal duties. Raymond, on the other hand, meets his match in a spoiled 18-year-old (Charlene Choi).

This movie was actually quite hilarious in certain parts. Okay, the jokes about a certain male body part was off the scale. There is a part where they (Raymond and Ah Qui) try to help Keung and use weights to strengthen...well....THAT body part. LOL! It was a riot. I laughed so hard.

The story gets slow most of the time. This movie really had two stories but if they focused on Keung's story, it would have been even better. The story about Ray and the young girl was actually quite sick to me. So I rolled my eyes quite often when it came to them.

The movie was actually worthwhile. I'm not big on Chinese comedies but this has some substance to keep me intertained. Louis Koo wasn't so bad to look at either. Not the most handsome but nice enough for the story.

Gakko Ja Oshierarenai (学校じゃ教えられない!-2008)

Gakko ja Oshierarenai

Starring:
Fukada Kyoko as Aida Mai
Tanihara Shosuke as Himuro Kensaku
Ito Ran as Kageyama Meiko
Naka Riisa as Yokoyama Eri
Nakamura Aoi as Mizuki Kazuki
Maeda Goki as Narita Shizuya
Asakura Aki as Kenjo Hitomi
Kato Mizuki as Suzumura Rei
Norizuki Kohei (法月康平) as Inai Shintaro
Natsume Suzu (夏目鈴) as Kameda Maho
Yanagisawa Daisuke (柳沢太介) as Nagasaki Kiyoshi
Morisaki Win (森崎ウィン) as Nishikawa Tomu
Yagyu Miyu (柳生みゆ) as Yoshizawa Kana
Miura Aoi (三浦葵) as Shingyoji Natsume
Matsumoto Hiroya (松本寛也) as Ma-kun (ep2&6)
Natsumi Elena as Meiko's daughter (ep8-10)

Fukada plays Mai Aida, a woman in her third year as an english teacher at a private all-girls high school. Due to declining enrollment, the school decides to admit its first male students. Those five freshmen initially feel they're in paradise, but the concerned Mai tries to help them adjust by creating a social dance club and inviting five girls. Those ten students become the focus of the drama, which is described as a story of love and adolescence.

I really liked this drama. I little off the beaten wagon but generally fell along the same guidelines about being an individual and trusting yourself and your friends.

I was a little disappointed in the end. I don't know why. I guess I was hoping for a more general climax to the story but it didn't accomplish that goal. Maybe I was hoping that Kazuki would end up "confessing" his love for Hitomi, who obviously loves him. Well, atleast a little something that I had been waiting for happened at the very end. *smiles*

I really loved Tanihara Shosuke's character. I new it would be good from the time his first scene aired. He was a sweet, eccentrically loveable character. His usual norm for being studious but yet his OCD was what made him so loveable at the same time.

Since this show was about young love, it wasn't surprising that most of the pairs became girlfriend/boyfriend. The backdrop of the story being that of a social dance club. This was definitely a show for young adults and pre-teens. A sweet show but yet I felt it could have been a little more in depth in character. Since it was only a 10-episode series, I feel they left too much character definition behind.

The Suicide Song (Densen-uta / 伝染歌-2007)

The Suicide Song
Starring:

Hiroshi Abe
Yoshino Kimura
Sayaka Akimoto
Tomomi Kasai

Atsuko Maeda
Minami Minegishi
Kayo Noro

Minami Takahashi

Original story by Yasushi AKIMOTO, writer of the mega hit movie One Missed Call (Chakushin Ari) series. As the project was in development with an idea of an "infectious song (Densen-Uta)", one of the staff called out..."There was a real Densen-Uta!" He discovers on the internet of a song back in 1933, Hungary, which caused mysterious deaths of many people.

In "Densen-Uta", high school girls get mixed up in the Japanese version of this infectious song, and with the help of third rate gossip magazine reporter, tries to solve the mystery and horror behind the song. They come to know just how real, an urban legend can become. -- Shochikufilms

This movie. OMG! This movie was the most weirdest movie I have ever seen. I don't even know how to explain it.

It's listed as a horror but there is nothing horrific to it. Thriller? Nah. Weird? Hell yeah.

This movie contains my most favorite movie actor ever.....Ryu-san. So this movie would have to be a little weird. He loves to be in movies that leave you scratching your head. This one, well, had me wondering if I should kill myself. Literally.

I can't really say it had a point. Supposedly a song was making people commit suicide when in actuality it was a girl who had a wicked past whose ghost was haunting those around her. Anyway, the song had a meaning near the end but did they really have to have the girl sing it? This was not a musical by anyones imagination so having it in the film just made it stupid.

The end was good. Hehehe! Rhy-san and his weirdness. Hehehe! I liked it. THAT fit well in the movie, I thought.

It was kind of boring through most of the movie. So it's to each his own if they want to watch it. I held on because of my main man. It was interestingly weird throughout. I won't say this was a great movie. Just take this movie with a grain of salt........don't expect a mind altering revelation.

Matoba Ryosuke is an ex-gangster who enters the world of hosts and the story depicts his journey to be number one in the club.

Okay. I'll try this again. Damn blogger didn't save. Got an error and everything I typed went to hell..............

This was an eyecandy, happy drama for me. Why? Because there are four, yes four, Kamen Rider actors in this drama. Hell yeah! Doing some serious happy dancing. Suga Takamasa, Matsuda Satoshi, Kaname Jun, and Shibue Joji......all on one freakin' show. Can't get any better. Taka-san and Satoshi-san are my all time favorites. Period. They take my wild fantasies to a whole new spector. Hehehe!

This drama itself was okay. What I mean is...is that it wasn't the best but it wasn't the greatest either. I guess I was a little fatigued watching Taka-san being a bad guy. Whoa is me! So was Satoshi-san! Both from the same KR series too! At least by the end of the drama series, Taka-san overcame his manly whoreness and came over from the darkside. Satoshi-san only had one episode but he wasn't redeemable. Ugh! But still fine as ever. *sigh*

The series itself wasn't all that believable. I don't know if the media wants to rectify the host club nation or what. It's just another name for a prostitution club. Even though this show was trying to make it out that they are a "healing" place for women. Well, yeah...if I had one hot lookin' dude giving me all of his attention and ended up in bed with him, let's slap him with a lab coat and call him doctor. I'm healed!!

This was all fantasy, I know. So I had to watch it in that way. I just wished it could have been more realistic. They made the hosts look like they came out of a yakuza ring. Whatever.

I was in heaven just watching my KR guys lookin' hot and gorgeous.......that's all I needed to get me through my day. Yessiree!

Kamen Rider Agito is the eleventh installment in the popular Kamen Rider tokusatsu franchise. The series repesents the 30th Anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series.

Okay, maybe this is my favorite one out of the bunch. I can't quite say for certain. I haven't seen them all but damn if Shoichi wasn't the cutest thing ever. Wait. Ryuuki was cute too. Ohhhhhh! A dilemma! I love them all so far. I'm turning into a fanatic!

The storyline of this series' KR was by far the BEST! I was quite taken by it and will admit that I was bawling like a baby at the end. I was like "Not again!". Ya know how the KR endings aren't always the best. They die, they leave, love is unrequited. Well, they had me. I was bawling because I was terribly sad and then "poof"......I was bawling from tears of sheer happiness. Those KR writers pulled a fast one on me.

Ahhh! My love of the KR. Gives me joy that I can't seem to describe. Screw Power Rangers....such a childish adaption of this awesome show. *sigh* Now I will sit back and dream of Kashu Toshiki........................*shivers from sheer happiness*

Notes

OMG!!!!!! This movie started out with hot guys, totally freakin' naked in all their glory. I'm talking....FRONT AND BACKSIDES! No this is not a porn but dang if my jaw didn't fall out its socket and hit the floor. My eyes got all watery and probably enlarged 10x too big for their size. Oh, yeah. That's the way to start off a movie. LOL! I think I fell in love. LOL!

With that out of the way, this movie was actually quite confusing and borish. Okay, well the occasional naked, muscular dude showing his "stuff" kept my attention to the movie. That is probably the only way that kept me watching. Hot, naked Chinese men in the buff...hmm, that would keep any hotblooded female attentive...ya think?

This was supposedly based on true accounts from the actual players who actually played the actor parts. Hmm? Homosexuality on the team? Hatred amongst the players? Maybe. But I couldn't really understand what they were trying to get at. What was the point? Other than making me salivate. Hmm?

So yeah, boring, not-much-of-a-lick-of-sense movie.....but you can't beat the eye candy. Yummo!!! Tasty!

Losing her mother at a young age, Misaki Yoko (Ueto Aya) was raised amongst three brothers. Yoko is a slightly boyish girl who is bullheaded and hates dishonesty. Ever since she was young, she enjoyed the company of boys over girls. She starts a band with four of her boy friends and becomes the lead singer. Then one day, one of the members of the band, Tsukasa, gets a job at a bank in Tokyo. Due to Tsukasa leaving town, the band breaks up and though Yoko finds herself lonely, she puts on a strong act in front of Tsukasa. She can't tell Tsukasa how she truly feels for him. On the day Tsukasa leaves for Tokyo, Yoko goes along with the band members to the airport to see him off. The guys get excited when they see some cabin crew ladies and Yoko has no idea why. She reminds them that even she can wear a uniform, but the guys only make fun of her. That's when Tsukasa tells Yoko he wonders what she'd look like dressed in uniform. This is when Yoko decides she wants to work as a Cabin Attendant.

Hmm? This was absolutely a cute drama. No doubt. I had my doubts but watching Misaki grow as an adult was pretty hilarious to see. I myself sometimes find myself not really wanting to grow up either. I guess we all keep a bit of the kid of ourselves hidden away somewhere.

I was a little disappointed in the "romance" between her and Nakahara. We all knew it was there. We expected it but they never really made the connection. Yeah, the special after the drama ended showed a little more concern for their romance but still they left us wondering..."What the hell?" Damn, a hug would have surficed. So that left me a little bummed.

So if you watch it, don't expect a lot from the male and female leads. But in all, this drama was quite amazing and I actually learned something about the behind the scenes activities of a cabin attendant. LOL!

Kang Chil Woo is a lowly officer during the Joseon era. Chil Woo is not a very smart and one of his life long goals is to become a midlevel officer. However when night falls, he is no longer that low level officer but instead a top assassin in an assassination organization. He gives out punishment to criminals and gives justice where needed. So Yoon and Chil Woo have a tragic love story. Yeon Doo is the daughter of a fallen yangban who owns a textile shop. She falls in love with Chil Woo after he rescues her from thugs who were harassing her.

This was an alright drama. Not the best, not the worst. This was definitely no where near the quality of Iljimae.

I really don't know what the heck the makers of this show were thinking putting this out after Iljimae. This had pretty much the same concept as Iljimae but was waaaaaaay different in many ways. So in a way, I was dissappointed.

For a drama like this, I thought the skills and production would have been better. The acting sucked big time with the exception of Yoo Ah In. His character was nice. He did an outstanding performance but it wasn't able to hold the show up. Goo Hye Sun's performance, I thought, was the worst out of them all. I think I rolled my eyes everytime she spoke. Totally overacted and she just wasn't right for the part. Eric's character as Chil Woo was okay but I really don't think they knew if they wanted him to be serious or boring. Well, he came across, most of the time as boring. Or maybe his costar, GHS, just made him seem that way.

The story wasn't half bad, which made it easier to watch. I will say the first 10 episodes were stupid and made not a whole lot of sense. Eventually, thankfully, the story did pick up and I was able to finally enjoy it for the most part.

In this school comedy, a girls' high school suddenly goes co-ed, but the incoming boys are far below their expectations. As a result, some of the girls start a project to reform the boys into "princes." --Tokyograph

At first I wasn't tooooooo sure about this drama. I'm not much for the over-acting that is common in manga/anime related dramas. So it was a little over the top in the first episode. But I overlooked it because...well...it's a Japanese drama and there are a whole lotta dramas of those types.

This was the norm of a female based school that inherits a bunch of boys into their school because the following year it will change into a boy/girl school. So they decided to "test" out the effects of having boys in the school.

Of course, it's a girl-loves-boy theme with the idea of the girls trying to change them (the boys) from losers to "Princes". And, with the eye-candy involved...well, I had to watch. Two of the characters are in my favorite (so far) drama called Tokyo Ghost Trip which is slowly being released (the subbers are having trouble with keeping help). Anyway, Kiriyama Renn and Takiguchi Yukihiro are those two guys...........soooo cute especially Renn-kun.

This is definitely a highschool girl's dream type drama. I, being out of school for many years, didn't mind at all. The sweetness of the story, with the main five male characters each getting two episodes a piece, was nice. Not overly sexual or anything like that.

Long ago, the Grongi Tribe terrorized the Linto until a warrior named Kuuga appeared and defeated the Grongi, sealing their leader within a cave. In present day, a multi-talented man named Yuusuke Godai finds himself linked to the mysterious stoned belt that was found within the escavated cave as the Grongi are ressurected and resume their murderous game on the desandants of the Linto, humanity itself. It is up to Yuusuke, along with the assembled Science Police, to use the various powers of Kuuga in order to stop and defeat the Grongi Tribesmen from their continuous killing and ensure the happiness of others. However, as endgame draws near, Yuusuke learns that there is a horrible revelation behind Kuuga and the Grongis' leader.

OMG! One of the first works from my Joe! He looks so totally different. Actually, the only way I realized who he was..was because of the mole on his chin. After awhile, I got used to looking at him looking so young and different. I'll call him "au naturale". His hair was dark and he actually looked Japanese for the very first time for me. LOL! Is that not weird?

Anyway, on to the review...........

Sad to say, this KR bored the hell out of me until the last 10 episodes....then it started getting interesting. I will say this fell into the KR theory....masked rider on crotch rocket (motorcycle). But the story, which I thought would be interesting....fizzled beyong belief. But I hung on to the end. Why is it that the KR stories don't end with the ultimate happy ending. You know guy gets girl....and they live happily ever after? Damn. I cried at the end. It was "happy" but it didn't fullfill me at all.

I will say the Odagiri Jo, we all know and love, was awesome. The naive and funny Jo is the best. Don't get me wrong. I love him in all of his movies and dramas but when he plays the innocent...well, my heart melts a little bit.

Anyway, this was okay but like I said it bored me. So at this moment, I'm taking a KR break for a while and then will hit Kabuto and Kiva.
