Over time, however, hostile words give way to hesitant attraction, leaving Ami torn between Keisuke and Hiroki. With the national championship coming up, the young swimmers are competing for more than the title, but also their hearts.

What a sweet movie! Loved it. Loved Hayami-kun in some really tight, tight, tight, tight swimming trunks. *sigh....heartbeat excelerates* Whew! Is it getting hot in here? *fans self*

This movie is typical girlie fanfare. Hot guys, well-formed bodies, and coming-of-age triangle romance. What was strange....their was no kissing!!!! Agh!

Script could have been better. But....ehh. Hayami-kun made up for every bad moment of the movie which were rare. LOL!

I'm just a bawling mess. It's over! Say it ain't so. I so loved this drama even though I sort of knew the ending but wasn't sure if they would follow the manga (comic) or not. They sort of did. *weeps*

I will say this. I fell in love with Night but not just for his hunky glory. Moko-kun played the naive, sincere, sweet robot so well. You couldn't help but fall in love with him. But I did NOT route for him, at all. I'm sorry but a robot with a human (even if said robot is God's gift to all women) just isn't "right". It sort of repulsed me a bit. I'm sorry but it was like Kronos made the ultimate "dildo". He would never grow old, she would never have her own children, and to me it wasn't natural love. It's not like I would ever love my toaster even if it made the best tasting toast ever...ya know? I know, I know...bad comparison. But do you get my drift?

I routed for Soushi. To me theirs was a natural love that blossomed from friendship. The ending was great but I was hoping for some kind of romantic feeling between Soushi and Riiko. I just felt that they weren't going to let Night go. Ugh!

But in general, this was an awesome show. Great characters, great actors, great script!

Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) Episode 9

zettaikareshi

This is just an update on the show....I think the last episode is episode 10. Nope, it's episode 11 (Thanks to SARS fansubs!)

Why am I, the insane Asian-watching movie queen, talking about this episode? Reason is.....it tore my heart up. I sat there sobbing buckets. Don't get me wrong, I want Souchi to hook up with Riiko. I can't see a happy ending with a human and a robot. Just you can't help but love Nighto-kin and his naivete and endearing ways. *melts* To hear Riiko confess her love, and vice versa, to Souchi was heartbreaking at its best. To watch his robot self, clench his chest....knowing his heart was breaking. Could it get any worse? I don't know but I do know that if anyone read the manga...you know how this will end.

Somebody pass me the large family size Kleenex..................................

Oh and so as you know, once SARS finishes all the episodes, they will be immediately downloaded to my personal collection. God, I really love this show!!

Okay, I feel better getting that off my chest.

Regatta

Regatta
Starring:
Hayami Mokomichi as Ozawa Makoto
Aibu Saki as Odagiri Misao
Matsuda Shota as Yagi Seiya
Wakatsuki Chinatsu as Tajima Chikako

Makoto is a promising oarsman at a University regatta team. One day, he loses his best friend by a tragic accident which he believes and blames himself for the very cause. Although he once leaves the team out of tremendous sense of responsibility, he finally decides to return by the encouragement of Misao and his teammates, and moreover, for the love and passion of regatta. He is determined than ever to become a top class oarsman and struggles to fulfill his dream to participate in the Olympic games. Through the severe practices and competitions of regatta, Makoto learns the bitterness and difficulties of life. Rivalry with teammates, agonies of love and friendship… The first ever drama of the rising actor Hayami to perform as the leading role! --TV Asahi

I'm so glad that I followed up on this one. After watching Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, I remembered I had wanted to see this one because of Hayami Mokomichi. And to my most happiest, fascinating discovery of finding out that Matshuda Shota was in this as well. I so definitely fell in love with him in Liar Game. Sugoi! *shivers run down my spine*

Regatta started out at a clip and kept on sailing from there. I was not bored at all. I was fascinated with the ups-and-downs of Makoto. I wanted to jump through the screen and hug him and tell him "it will be okay." *sigh* I wasn't impressed with Yagi and his attitude but eventually warmed up to his cold nature/warm heart. I didn't know who to route for when it came to "woo-ing" Misao. I was a little disappointed with the ending because I wanted to see Makoto and Yagi's name as the top names to head to the Beijing Olympics...not Taki's name. Eeergh.

If you are a Shota-kun and Moko-kun fan, you will NOT be disappointed.

They say he's part Cambodian or some Southeast Asian country. Not sure if that is true but that would totally explain his coloring. He's very dark for a Japanese man. Ah but it makes him cuter. He is so very tall. Geez! Every show the poor guy has to duck into a room through the door or he'll smack his head. That what makes it hard to find "sexy" pics of him because he is so tall and lanky. His muscle mass is stretched thin. He is in no way ugly...hell no! In actuality, the naivete and pureness of his face sets him apart that sometimes I feel you can reach his soul. Very special indeed.

Now this is a FIIIIIINE Japanese man. He seems to always have a severe look to him so that is why he always makes a wonderful villain or antagonist. And that is a real good thing because we all love to love the "bad boy". And I so love this bad boy!!

Shota-kun looks Japanese. He doesn't seem "Americanized". I don't exactly know how to explain it. I guess after watching so many dramas, many of the actors have been prettied up so much that you can't tell what nationality they are from unless you see their kid photos. That is why I love Kame, Kimura Takuya, and Matsuda Shota. Their ethnicity shines through. No actor or actress should change their looks to accomodate the fray. I love the shape of their eyes, the severity of their eyebrows, the shape of their noses, and the way they walk. God, I love the way they walk. That is a big turn on to me.

Tanaka Misako stars as a woman struggling to raise her three sons - played by Tamayama Tetsuji, Hayami Mokomichi and Nakao Akiyoshi - after her husband dies. Kuninaka Ryoko will appear as Tamayama's girlfriend, Chisato.

They don’t know when to stop, and live life to the full—meet the never-a-dull-moment Sakurai family, where nobody holds their feelings back. Returning to serial drama for the first time in five years, Misako Tanaka and the three hyperactive sons provide a story with a heartbeat. Sakurai Harue (Tanaka) who has brought up her sons alone after her husband died, is absolutely hopeless at running a household. Her eldest, stickler Tatsuya (Tamayama), does the job in her place while keeping younger brothers Riku (Hayami), and Junpei (Nakao) firmly in line. The sparks are constantly flying, but that’s the way it goes in this home. Tatsuya, a serious-minded advertising agency worker, and his brothers, an easy-going swimming instructor and rather naïve student, are three good-lookers who, along with their useless live-wire of a mother, keep getting into all sorts of scrapes—in love and at work. This is the Sakurai household, where everything hangs loose and everyone always speaks their mind. Tanaka says she really loves this ‘perfect family.’ They are sure to win your hearts too!

They won my heart. OMG! I loved this drama so much that I stayed up till midnight to watch the entire freakin' series in one day. As the oldest of 3 siblings, I really related to Tatsuya. I cried out of happiness from this show. I actually went to bed thinking that I wanted to write letters to my younger sister and brother and thank them for being my siblings. Geez, I'm starting to tear up already. This show wasn't tiring to watch. It was paced well enough to keep my interest and wasn't drawn out like a Korean drama and wasn't boring like most serious Japanese dramas. Totally recommend this one to anyone. And if you have a siblings, you'll see some type of correlation to your own relationship to your own familly.

I don't know what to say about Tetsuji-kun. Why are Japanese men so freakin' fine? Why? Tetsuji-san is gorgeous. *kawaii* First, I fell for his character and then everything else fell into place. I want to lick him like a lollipop..........

I was happy to see Mokomichi-kun (Absolute Boyfriend/Zettai Kareshi) in this. His looks are so dreamy. *sigh* Dang, he's soooooo tall. Hiro-kun was in this as well. His role was terribly limited and he didn't look anything like he does now. Who would have thought he would have become the hunk he is now. Whoa! Then there is Hideo-kun...his new drama Gokusen 3 is out as well. And, he too, was totally different looking. Well, in Gokusen 3 his hair is bleached white..so that does make a dramatic difference. LOL!

Zettai Kareshi "Absolute Boyfriend"

*based off the manga of the same name*
Absolute Boyfriend

Photobucket

Starring:
Hayami Mokomichi as Tenjo Night
Mizushima Hiro as Asamoto Soshi
Aibu Saki as Izawa Riiko
Sasai Eisuke as Shirasagi Yuki

First my opinion. I've read the manga. This drama relates somewhat to the manga in the sense that it's about a hot-looking robot that was made to make the owner "very, very, very happy". They kept the main characters names the same. Riiko still owes 100,000,000 yen. From that point on, it's different. The manga is based on Riiko being in high school. Soshi is a childhood friend. The live-action has Riiko as a young adult temp worker for a confectionary company. Soshi is her boss. And well, Night is still Night. LOL!

I guess to keep with television convention they changed the plot of the story so as not to destabilize family television. Now don't get me wrong, even with the plot change, the story is still wonderful. There isn't anything really wrong with the story so far. I'm on episode 3 since the new live action version just started airing. Again, having to wait for our lovely fansubbers to do their jobs. God bless them!

Robot maker, Kronos Heaven, finally develops "Night Tenjo", the perfect male humanoid programmed to be devoted and completely loyal to his lover. The company chooses temp worker Izawa Riko to take part in a 5-day free trial. At first, Riko only sees Night as a household appliance. But when she finds out how deep Night's devotion to herself is, Riko finds herself falling in love with him. Joining the love triangle is Asamoto Soshi, a distinguished young executive at her company who has feelings for her~thanks to Dramawiki.

Here's the hot pics of Hayami Mokomichi and Mizushima Hiro. I'm telling you this as a warning....keep the fire extinguisher nearby. Moko-kun is HOT!
