Tamako, an elite lawyer with a promising future, works for a reputable law firm. She is recently given an opportunity to take a case involving a young child who has been bullied at a local elementary school. Fully aware of the difficulties uncovering the truth in cases involving schools, Tamako is reluctant to proceed with her new client. Tamako is romantically involved with one of her colleagues, Naoyuki, and is hoping to further develop their relationship. However, Tamako's seemingly happy life comes to a sudden halt when she learns the news of an accident involving a young female high school student named Asuka. Asuka had apparently fallen from a classroom window on campus and suffered serious injuries. Tamako takes a strong interest in Asuka's case and immediately launches her own private investigation. --groink
What is it with me this week and tear-jerkers? I just seem to be all over them lately. LOL!
I decided last night that I was going to hit a drama series this time. This one seemed different plus it Hiro-kun in it. LOL! I'm so glad I did. I knew from the very first episode that I was in for a heart breaker but I trudged on.
This series was fascinating stuff and should be shown in the classroom everywhere. It might or might not change a life but it would definitely be worth trying. I guess you could say it hit a hot spot concerning the bully's side of things and how a bully's actions can forge a new life of despair for their victim.
Yes, this was sad in so many ways. Not only can the bully be a student but also a teacher and/or parent. No love triangles. This was all about the school system, the legal system, and the human heart.
This drama can in so many inspire you to talk with your kids and students. In many ways, we have all been bullied once in our lives. Thumbs up for this whole entire series!!

Notebooks that foretell deaths, numerous urban legends, and murders with no clues... a series of strange incidents occur, and people are lead into a deep labyrinth of mysteries. Five fledgling teen detectives of the Dan Detective Academy, which was founded by the legendary and renowned detective, Morihiko Dan, work together to solve such difficult cases. Stealthily at work behind the strange incidents is an evil crime syndicate called the "Meiosei". They are a group of intellectuals who have long antagonized the Detective Academy run by Morihiko Dan. The five youngsters make their way forward a step at a time as they come face to face with death, clash with one another at times, reconcile, and deepen their friendship. This is a pop mystery drama series about youth friendship and adventure in the face of united efforts against dark forces. --NTV
Another awesome drama that I most definitely fell in love with. Started it this morning, got hooked, and watched until now. Eleven hours of this show....and it totally thrilled me and I must say....ROCKED!!!!!
I love shows that keep you on your toes instead of groaning because the fool couldn't confess because he was a dipsh*t. I have to say the Korean's are good at those love triangles and quadrangles...that strangle me to death. This show had none of that. There was a kind of romance going on but it was innocent and not over the top. This show relied more on it's mystery and story which was refreshing.
Friendship....definitely well defined in this show. Don't we all wish we had friends as close as those 5. I do. Kyuu and Ryuu's relationship was something that we all go through but in the end if we believe and trust in any relationship (friendship or love), it all works out. The story was so involved in their oncoming friendship. The highs and lows and everything in between....the good will always overcome the bad.
Kaname Jun
Kamiki Ryunosuke
Yamada Ryosuke
Without feeling like a perv, Ryu-kun is only 2 years older than my oldest son. So I'm not posting any naked upper body shots. That just makes me sick on my part. He's just toooooo young right now to be slobbering all over him. But! This kid when he gets older is going to be a gorgeous man. No doubt about it. And for obvious reason of the last pic......it's Ryu-kun with my KAME!!!! Now he's the man! LOL!

14 Sai No Haha (14才の母-2006)
Starring:
Shida Mirai as Ichinose Miki (14)
Tanaka Misako as Ichinose Kanako (43)
Namase Katsuhisa as Ichinose Tadahiko (45)
Miura Haruma as Kirino Satoshi (15)
Muroi Shigeru as Kirino Shizuka (48)
Yamaguchi Sayaka as Endo Kyoko (Homeroom teacher, 25)
Koumoto Junichi as Mitsui Makoto (Miki's uncle, 33)
Kitamura Kazuki as Hatano Taku (Chief of editor, 38)
Sorimachi Takashi as Doctor Tsuchida (ep10-11)
14-year-old Miki Ichinose becomes pregnant with her boyfriend's child. After struggling with the fact that she is pregnant, she decides that she will keep the baby and raise it by herself. The drama follows what this means for her, her family, her school life, the life of her boyfriend and his family, and the society in which she resides.
I don't know what to say about this show. It disturbed me beyond no end. Shida Mirai looks younger than her 14 years in this show, almost 11-12 years in fact. Teaming her up with Miura Haruma who is actually in reality 3 years older than her in real life made it seem unreal. Should have had another actress for the role. Nothing against Shida Mirai, she did really well it was just hard to watch with her childlike face. I guess they chose her for that reason. Reality is....girls that young are getting pregnant. Ugh.
It had a happy ending though. That made it seem better when my heart cried out in pain to see such a young girl grow up in 9 months immediately. To my happy surprise, Sorimachi Takashi, played her doctor after giving birth. I about peed my panties out of sheer happiness. So I had two hotties to make my morning.
I must admit I watched all the episodes in 4 hours time. "How?" I'm sure you are asking. Well, there was too much melodramatic music, reminiscing, and boring adult talk. All I cared about was the relationship of Satoshi and Miki...so I fast forwarded through most of it. And to my complete surprise, they didn't dwell alot on their relationship. It was all about Miki and her family which royally pissed me off. Satoshi's relationship and responsibilities were tossed on her throughout the series. I think they should have thrown in more on his side...so that sped up the process a bit for me as well. So 11 episodes cut down to 4 hours.....that says alot.
The series could have been better like I said especially on this tough subject and not have left it on the girl. It takes "two to tango" as they say.
