Bartender Tyler (Nicholas Tse) dreams of paradise in chaotic and over-speed modern Hong-Kong. The best way for him to fulfil his wish is to make as much money as quickly as possible. One night, he gets pissed with a beautiful young lesbian and undercover cop, called Ah Jo (Cathy Chui). Both don't remember anything the following morning. Ah Jo realises that she might be pregnant. Tyler decides then to take his responsibilities as a young father and he really looks for a job that can provide a quick buck. He gets hired in the protection company owned by former loan shark Uncle Ji (Anthony Wong). Jack, an ex- member of a South American commando team, has finally settled in Taiwan as a mere butcher to live a new life. He got married with Hui (Candy Lo) and got her pregnant. A happy and peaceful future is awaiting the new family until his former team-mates arrive in Hong-Kong. Their mission is to kill Hui's father, a powerful Triad boss. Troubles arise when Uncle Ji and Tyler are hired to protect the Boss and when Jack is forced to kill him…
Okay, it's been a Chinese love fest today. LOL! Today, has not been a dissappointment. Of course, this movie has the most famous of all HK actors on the market and he's eye-candy to boot. Nicholas Tse was wonderful as always as the young man trying to make a living to earn money for the woman he got pregnant. They didn't mention it in the synopsis but I think the girl actually started to fall in love with him. Dunno. Just my opinion.
The action, as usual, for a HK movie was really cool but it wasn't played out by the Nick-meister. Oh no...it was Wu Bai. Man, some of that stuff was cool. I think my favorite part, and I had to laugh, was when he and Miguel were going down the side of the apartment with automatic rifles shooting at each other and the residents just sort of stood there like it was an everyday thing. LOL!
The ending was actually really good too. I am happy to say there were no deaths of the main actors and all babies were born healthy in the movie. Yeah!!!!!!

An aging cop whose life takes a precipitous tumble. A decorated cop, Chan Kwok-Wing (Jackie Chan) meets his match in a vicious group of young thugs, who kill cops for fun and "x-treme" satisfaction. After Wing boasts that he'll snag this group of young punks in three hours, the group proceeds to dismantle his ten man squad with expert precision and more than a little stylish flair. Among the dead cops is Wing's future brother-in-law (Deep Ng), a factoid that leaves Wing crying and drinking his guts out...or perhaps the reverse. Either way, he becomes a broken guy. Enter young Frank Cheng (Nicholas Tse), an overly-sprightly young cop who makes it his personal mission to bring Wing back from the brink of self-destruction. Will he succeed?
Equal simplicity is applied to the bad guys. Made up of Daniel Wu, Terence Yin, Andy On, Hayama Go, and Coco Chiang, the gang of evildoers is given pseudo-understandable psychosis by the screenplay. This group isn't really bad; they're more like misunderstood kids who've simply taken their disaffection too far...into murder and completely over-the-top crime sprees. ~HKfilms
Ok. I'm not the biggest Jackie Chan fan. However, this movie was fun! I am a total Nicholas Tse fan so that is why I broke down to see this in the first place. I was not dissappointed!
I've read that this wasn't one of JC's best Police Story movies. I guess there are like 4 or 5 of them. Not sure about that. But.....this being the first one I've seen, I really liked it. I will admit it was a little heart wrenching in the beginning to see his comrades killed. Geez, I had to turn away because I knew it wasn't going to be good. It wasn't bloody or gory...just the thought of seeing your friends die...is sickening. So that was a little rough for me. Yeah, I'm a bleeding heart. Sue me!
The kung-fu was awesome. I have to say JC's choreography is astounding. ASTOUNDING! It's just kung-fu eye candy...I tell ya.
So if your bored and need a little excitement to pump up the blood...this was a pretty good one. Watch it!

Ummm............*tongue is down to my toes, saliva oozing down my chin, breathe quickening, eyes bulging*........OMFG!

My Schoolmate, The Barbarian (Ngo dik yeh man tung hok -2001)
Starring:
Nicholas Tse Ting-Fung
Stephen Fung Tak-Lun
Joey Yung Tso-Yi
Samuel Pang King-Chi
Yu Ka-Ho
Ng Chi-Hung
Fung Wai-Hung
Stephen Fung is Edward, a rich high school kid who accidentally gets enrolled in seedy TBS College instead of the prestigious private school he was supposed to get into. TBS College is apparently the Battle Royale college of Hong Kong. The ritual here is for kids to settle their differences through one-on-one fisticuffs without any teachers present. The teachers actually know but don't get involved, which is yet another fine argument for public education.
Edward immediately gets saddled with smarmy rivals, but he does find an ally: Stone (Nicholas Tse), the undisputed King of Fighters. However, Stone hasn't fought in six months and current top dog Mantis (Samuel Pang) wants Stone in the ring so they can see who's the toughest of all. Stone doesn't care to fight Mantis, but he will help Edward learn the ropes so he can fend for himself in the ring. However, Stone has his own issues, and Mantis isn't content to let Stone avoid fighting him. Plus there's a kidnapping case and the obligatory high school romance between Edward and classmate Fung (Joey Yung).
The movie started out stupid. The jokes were a little lame and corny for superstars Tse and Fung. But in all, the movie was okay. Wasn't my favorite by far. The action was pretty tame too. They down played Fung's strength's and relied on Tse's.
I guess the story was too farfetched for me to believe in. Don't get me wrong it was a fun movie for those who need a not-so-mind-thought-provoking show.
Ah, but alas, Nick was cute as usual and so was Stephen. Hey, even the Sam (Mantis) was looking pretty good there. That's what this movie was....just eye candy for those of us who thrive on Nick and Stephen. Where was Shawn (Yue)? Can't have a movie without those three together. LOL!

"Revenge? Is this a kung fu movie?"
When a shipment of lethal explosives goes missing, a veteran Hong Kong policeman forms a team of off-beat young cops to track it down. These generation X law enforcers find themselves up against a similarly youthful gang boss, and the shadowy Japanese mastermind behind him.
This was a great movie! This didn't have as much as the kung-fu type action as the previous movies I have recently reviewed. The storyling kept me entertained with Sam Lee and Stephen Fung's comedic action. Sam Lee....LOL! He was a riot.
This was a great guy movie even for the young male generation. This is something I know my boys would love. Of course, Jackie Chan had to add a little comedic spice in the end. Hee-hee!

Dragon Tiger Gate (Long Fu Mon-2006)

Donnie Yen ... Dragon Wong
Nicholas Tse ... Tiger Wong

Dragon Tiger Gate is a martial arts academy established by three youngsters, Tiger Huang , Little Dragon Huang and Black Dragon Shi. Adopted as children by kung fu master Huang Jianglong, they aspire to impart the spirit of Chinese martial arts to the world. The final showdown between good and evil is a spectacular battle that makes the walls of Dragon Tiger Gate quake.
Can I say something here? I've fallen head over heels for Shawn Yue and Nicholas Tse. I understand now. These two are two to be reckoned with. Holy Moly, Enchilada, Mary Mother of God!!! Whew!
I'm so impressed with their martial art style. These two remind me of Kwon Sang Woo and Song Seung Hun. You put these two together and you have a movie match made in heaven. So be it with Shawn and Nick! I've saved a couple more of their movies and am looking forward to watching them. I'm melting for this art....their martial artwork.
This movie itself, storyline wise, wasn't all that to me. Too rushed. No definition of certain characters. Shawn's character was totally lost in purgatory. I think they should have added atleast another half hour on him alone. His character only had a few lines and didn't seem well worth it for his talents.
Choreograpy...this movie was amazing. I want to learn karate and tae kwon do. I'm so envious of their talent that it makes me want to just learn a bit.
More Nick pics! Yea!!!!

Three young detectives, led by Chen Jin (Nicholas Tse), are soon assigned to prevent another massive bank robbery organized by the Ronin Gang.
OMG! I'm not a big fan of Chinese movies whatsoever but damn if this wasn't the shit! This was so kick-ass! I swoon with the testosterone action and the hot pheromones that surround this movie. Holy Enchilada!!! I'm in loooooooooove!
I couldn't stop yelling, ooooohing and aaaaaaahing to this. The moves were incredible. Jackie (Chan) you taught your son well! Sheesh, he looks EXACTLY like you! Holy Enchilada!
Now I know why I see forum boards all about Nicholas Tse. This guy rocks. Incorporate Shawn Yu and it's a freakin' wet panty fest!
The story was believable. Dang, if it didn't literally start off with a bang. The first 20 minutes you are glued to your seat and afraid to leave to miss the coolest action you'll see in a long freakin' time. Woo-hoo! Three hot guys, kung-fu, shoot'em up, round'em up action with even a few endearing moments that just add the right touch!
One of my favorites. Heading to Walmart tomorrow to pick up a copy. I actually saw it there but watched it online first before I spent $20. It'll be well worth it!!
Shawn Yue
Omg! OMG! OH MY GOD! I can't believe I found this pic! Risque? Hell yes! A little too much for my eyes! Oh my eyes!
Nicholas Tse
I'm in loooooooove! Why have I avoided all these movies with him in them. Whyyyyyyy? I've got some catchin' up to do!
Jaycee Chan
Yeah, that is Jackie's (Chan) son! I swear he was duplicated. There ain't no denying that boy is his!!!!
