Under the pressure of the Yuan Kingdom, the King of Goryeo is pressured to produce a successor to the throne. But the king is in love with his loyal general Hong-lim. After seriously pondering the issue, the king asks his lover Hong-lim to sleep with the Queen, with unexpected consequences.

Notes
*"Ssanghwajeom" is an epic drama set at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392).
*The characters played by Jin-mo Ju and In-seong Jo share a homosexual relationship.

Oh. My. God! I have been waiting patiently for this to be released and subbed. Today was a happy day for me.

The first 30 minutes of this movie was..........intense! Sexually provacative. In my case, if I wasn't horny before.....I was then. I never thought I would see Ju Jin Mo and Jo In Sung....naked, licking, touching, sucking....(Oh my eyes! My eyes!). I think my panties are wet. Can I exhale now. I must have held my breath for over 2 hours. Do I love a yaoi movie or what? I do. This movie, if it came out in the US of A would have been rated NC-17.

The beginning of this movie was sweet and yet sexually thrilling. Yeah, the second paragraph should have given you that hint. Then, maybe it was just me, but the movie slowly fell apart in my eyes. Don't get me wrong. There were some seriously awesome fight scenes too. I just couldn't believe that Hong Lim fell in love with the queen after having sex with her. Because...well, because....he'd loved the king since he was a child. To have that change overnight....was totally unbelievable. Anyway, I have to say is that I actually felt sorry for the king. Throughout the movie, I was on his side. He fought for his love even though he got a little crazy at the end. And......for Hong Lim to say what he did....near the end (can't give the ending away) was totally unbelievable. When the king asked if he had ever loved him and Hong Lim said, "????" (sorry can't give that answer either) Aaaaiiiieeeesh! Then at the very end they are riding off in the sunset. WTF? So if someone saw this movie.....was something lost in translation? I need some clarity.

Ohhhh! Let's just say something drastic happened to Hong Lim. Ummm......well, can't say again....but I just don't understand how he was able to ride a horse within a day's time. That part was the most unrealistic out of the whole movie.

In all, I'll give the movie a 4/5. Why so high when I thought it failed at the end? Hello. The answer should be sooooo obvious. Ju Jin Mo + Jo In Sung = sucking face! That got my rocks off in a rush. LOL!

Ai no Kotodama (愛の言霊 -2008)

Ai no Kotodama
Starring:
Hidenori Tokuyama - Ootani Shinya
Yasuka Saito - Tachibana Miyako
Rinako Matsuoka - Mizusawa Yuki

Ai no KotodamaOotani and Tachibana have been inseparable since high school. Now that they're in college, they live together, they're happy and everything seems prefect. But their little world is disrupted when they meet an old high school friend, Yuki, who seems to have a crush on Tachibana, making Ootani feel jealous and insecure. Will Tachibana really choose him over a pretty girl?

Omg! Do I love yoai movies? Let me count the ways........

This movie was so wonderful. Gay relationships also have inferiority complexes of their own. This movie showed us that before the two main leads started their relationship that they had other lives as well. Meaning? Before they understood their new found love of the same sex, they once had male/female relationships.

Oonori is insecure of his relationship with Tachibana. Tachibana was once a popular, happy-go-lucky guy who was liked by the girls. Oonori is a silent, tough guy who is in love with Tachibana. Both men have known each since elementary school but have been lovers for at least 4 years.

This movie touches on jealousy, trust, and betrayal issues but the most important factor......true love. This totally touched my heart. I couldn't help but feel for Oonori who had trouble expressing his feelings other than jealousy. This really seemed like a genuine find in how hard it is to keep relationships fresh and alive.

Okay, the kissing scenes were a freakin' real turn on. Two fine guys loving each other. There wasn't any sex scenes or inuendo (well, slightly) so it wasn't a put off. The scenes were sweet and........fascinating! Sugoi!!

Sukitomo (2007)

Sukitomo
Starring:
Saito Takumi
Aiba Hiroki
Komatsu Airi

The young and earnest Tomokazu (Saito Takumi) is in his third year of university and a member of the boxing team. He has a close friendship with freshman Yoshiki (Aiba Hiroki), whom he sees as a little brother. Little does he know, however, Yoshiki's feelings for him run a lot deeper. To add to the confusion, Tomokazu's stepsister Misao (Komatsu Airi) also secretly likes him and becomes jealous of his relationship with Yoshiki. What will Tomokazu do when he finds out their true feelings?

I was slightly disappointed in this small movie. I had gotten the impression that this was a yaoi movie but it sort of was but it wasn't. It was really one-sided. Tomo seemed to show no interest in Yoshi while Yoshi seemed to have true feelings for Tomo. Then we have the step-sister thing. She is terribly young but infatuated with her step-brother, Tomo. Okay, Tomo is hot and all but I don't think he had any clue of "loving" his sister in that way. I was routing for Yoshi in this one.

Anyway, in the end Yoshi and Misao (Tomo's stepsister) sort of bond as they each recognize their love for Tomo. It was a bit weird since the whole movie's basis was their jealousies towards each other. I was hoping for some kind of recognition on Tomo's part for one of them.

Ehh. This could have been better.

Instead, out of desperation, Sumin takes a job at a high end hustler bar prostituting himself. Jaemin tracks Sumin to his new job and becomes obsessed with the young man. He pays for sex with Sumin and follows him around like a sick puppy dog.

This was the best yaoi/gay movie I've ever seen. Okay, okay, okay....I've only seen maybe 3-4 of them but this one touched me more so than any.

This was my first experience, actually, to have seen two men have sex. *Yeah, this movie didn't hold back.* I don't consider this porn because they only showed the act not the frontal anatomy.

Lee Han and Lee Young Hoon did such an excellent job that they had me believing that this movie was for real. If they are NOT gay, then they need to be given the OSCAR for best damn performance ever and paid 10 times what they are worth.

From the very beginning of this movie, I was dragged in. And let's just cut to the chase, the first seen was that of Lee Young Hoon butt naked in a pond swimming. That's the way to get this girl's heartbeat started.

This being a homosexual movie, I'm sure that this movie has been by-passed for certain reasons. Please....open your mind. Gay love is beautiful. I'm starting to "see". Having two members of my family who are openly gay, opening of one's mind can ease the pain and suffering that they have to go through because they are who they are.

Okay, okay, okay...and again I'll admit two hot guys getting it on....is a scary turn on for me. *Damn! I admitted it again...LOL!*

Takami-kun (Soshite, Harukaze ni Sasayaite/そして春風にささやいて -2007)

Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite
Starring:
Tomo Yanagishita - Takumi
Keisuke Kato - Gii
Hiroki Aiba -Saichi
Yasuka Saito - Izumi Takabayashi
Wataru Hatano - Michio Yoshizawa
Tetsuya Makita - Daisuke Nozaki
Yukihiro Takiguchi - Shozo Akaike
Ryo Sakaguchi - Toshihisa Katakura

The flames of love envelope the hapless tenants of an all-boys high school dorm.

Peer into the perplexing world of all-male school romance with a focus on Takumi and Gii as the two search to cure Takumi's love-thratening fear of meaningful relationships due to a trauma in his past!

OMG! This was a little low budget but it was so sweet. I think I'm beginning to become a big fan of yaoi movies. Something about two really, really, really cute guys kissing is an insane turn on! OMG! I can't believe I just admitted that to everyone and to myself. LOL!

It started off a lot like a manga/anime related movie. Is it? I'll have to search. It started off with lots of exaggerated movements and gestures to Matrix like scenes. Eventually once the story got heated the manga/anime related movements ended.

This was endearing and sweet. Takumi has a "human phobia" and doesn't like to be touched. As the story moves along we realize that there is a reason why. Gii is Takumi's roommate and is the first to admit his love for Takumi. We come to find out that Gii has loved Takumi for at least over 3 years as the story continues. Eventually Gii breaks through Takumi's touch barrier and slowly Takumi comes to realize he loves Gii too.

This is so romantic and loving. Homosexual or not, love should always be this way..................

And I'll admit when Takumi and Gii kissed.....my heart rate went through the roof!!!!

Bishonen (美少年之恋, Měishàonián zhī Liàn-1998)

"Love that lives in the heart cannot be so easily terminated by time. Even though the encounter is brief, its impression shall last a lifetime. No one can change the direction of love that lives in the heart. If you have loved, that in itself is the answer."

Bishonen

Starring:
Stephen Fung
Daniel Wu
Shu Qi
Terence Yin

Jet (Stephen Fung) is a handsome gay hustler whose sex appeal seems to know no bounds. Everyone wants to make love to him, but he is in love with no one but himself.

Things change drastically when he notices what seems like a young couple in a shop, Sam (Daniel Wu) and Kana (Shu Qi). At first sight, he falls in love with Sam and begins following the two around.

Jet's friend Ching, who is also a hustler, runs a personal in a gay magazine for Jet, imploring Sam to contact Jet.

At first, Jet is angry at Ching for not asking him, but his wrath subsides quickly when indeed he meets Sam again in what seems like a chance encounter, but actually is an outcome of the personal.

Sam turns out to be a police officer and Jet starts to befriend Sam, hoping this will turn into a relationship. But Sam does not seem to notice Jet's intentions towards him.

Unbeknownst to Jet, Sam had a homosexual affair with pop star K.S.(Terence Yin) five years earlier. At the same time, Ching had been in unrequited love with Sam (then calling himself Fai) when the two were still office workers.

Ching comes to his apartment shared with Jet when Jet and Sam are there, instantly recognizes Sam as Fai and is furious with Jet for stealing his beloved.

The aftermath leads to a conclusion unbeknowest to Jet.....................

Hmm? It was good but not THAT good. I couldn't get into the love story because I didn't feel it was there. This movie spent too much time worrying about Jet's job as a prostitute than anything else. They didn't put enough amount of time into Jet and Sam's relationship. They did an adequate amount on updating us on Sam's past. What about Jet's? Ehh. I actually felt nothing at the end of the story.

Okay, I admit I had to stop halfway because I had to take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese's. I was looking forward to a better second half. Okay, Jet and Sam making out was oishii (delicious) that was about it.

Boys Love (ボーイズ ラブ, Boizu Rabu-2006)

Boys Love
Starring:
Saito Takumi~Mamiya Taishin
Kotani Yoshikazu~Kisaragi Noeru
Matsumoto Hiroyo~Furumura Chidori

Boys Love is a Japanese film that released on DVD on November 24, 2006. The movie tells the story of Akira Mamiya (Yoshikazu Kotani), a magazine reporter who meets and interviews a popular young model, Noeru Kisaragi (Takumi Saito), and becomes attracted by him.

Mamiya invites him out for dinner, it somehow progresses to a sexually charged scene in the bathroom. Noeru advances on Mamiya, and leads him to a cubicle for action.

The incident leaves Noeru wanting more of Mamiya. Mamiya can’t stop thinking about Noeru too. In order to meet Mamiya again, Noeru calls the magazine house to complain about Mamiya, and demands Mamiya comes down to apologize personally.

The next morning, Noeru’s representative calls the magazine house to complain about Mamiya’s rudeness. Mamiya goes down to Noeru’s house to apologize, and meets Chidori, a close companion of Mamiya. After a heart-felt dialogue at Noeru’s house, Mamiya and Noeru become closer to each other, spending most of their time together.

Chidori becomes jealous of their growing relationship and reveals his obsessive compulsion with Neoru. At the same time Neoru soon begins to break his initial promise to Mamiya. All this ends in a heart wrenching ending that sees both of them sitting on the train leaving Tokyo…

Okay, I watch Itsuka no Kimi E and became so intrigued with Saito Takumi, I just had to watch Boys Love. Okay, and yeah, it's another yaoi movie. More graphic to the point that it sort of had me turning my head. I hope they are paying him an arm and leg for those "special" parts of the movie. "Whoa!" is all I can say.

I didn't cry. I don't know why. This I think should have had me balling like a baby. Maybe, yet again, I'm still washed up from Koizora. Yes, Koizora was that good!

I guess it was hard for me to actually see a relationship between Mamiya and Noeru. The very first few minutes Mamiya was practically raped by Noeru. I understand there were reasons that Noeru was the way he was. He was an emotional mess from the start. Mamiya being a kind heart fell for him. There were some sweet moments that really tugged your heart. I don't think though there was enough to get me severely emotionally attached to this movie. Or maybe the graphic scenes was a bit too much to get me heart-spelled. I'm not saying it was a terribly bad movie but there just wasn't enough to make me yearn. Oh, but I will say that if you are really a tender heart....it's a weeper.

Itsuka no Kimi e - Zutto Soba Ni Itehoshi, 2007)

Itsuke no Kime e
Starring:
Saito Takumi~Fukami Noboru/Ryo
Kawai Ryûnosuke~Kouhei Hayase

After Noboru saves Hayase from drowning by giving him mouth-to-mouth, Hayase grows confused about his feelings. It doesn't help that around the same time he meets Noboru's twin brother Ryu who has a very different, outgoing personality.

Older brother Noboru is a quiet and introverted photography student, while younger brother Ryu is energetic and outgoing. Noboru attracts the curiosity of classmate Kouhei (Kawai Ryunosuke), whose friendship with the brothers brings changes into their lives and relationships.

The trailer is here. It's in Japanese so I couldn't figure out where I could get the embed code if there was one.

This youtube.com video contains cute moments.

Where do I begin? This was the first yaoi ("boy-love") movie I've ever scene. Yes, I've never seen Brokeback Mountain. Got a problem with that?

The homosexuality is just a backdrop of the real story. The real story? It's about twin brothers. Nobura, the quiet, introvert. Ryo, the outgoing. Nobura most of his life has spent his life trying to live up to Ryo's standard. If you have ever seen the Taiwan drama, MARS, it has almost the exact same story line of the twin brothers. ALMOST!

Then we have Hayase who has somehow connected to Nobura. After a canoeing accident, Nobura saves his life (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation). There first "kiss?" From that point on, I became intrigued.

It was strange watching a man fall in love with a man. I'm not against a homosexual relationship, at all. It's vexing really. Being bombarded day in and day out with heterosexual relationships because the American government is "scared", we are given what we are given by the mass media. When "Ryo" kissed Hayase, my heartbeat stopped for a second and it *sighed*. This was a great storyline. And if you don't have much time...this movie was just a minute over an hour long.

Okay, big question. Is he gay? I just want to know. He is so cute on the eyes...so he must by right? Why I ask? Well, I know it's just acting but the last three of his movies were yaoi........

Somebody please answer that question. Inquiry minds want to know..................
