Seung-ryong Tae-hyun Cha suffers a fatal accident and at age 27 he has the intelligence of a six-year-old. Now he is pitifully forgetful and has zero sense of hygiene, but is much loved, particularly by his childhood sweetheart Ji-ho Ji-won Ha.

Ji-ho returns home after a long hiatus and finds comfort in looking after Seung-ryong. Despite his disabilities, Seung-ryong manages to make a living for himself and his younger sister by selling the world's tastiest toast on the roadside.


Omg! This was a heartbreaker if there ever was one. I was not expecting the twist at the end. I will say the sub-story had me wondering why it was there.....and then you find out why. Geez!

I was not given the idea that this was going to turn out this way. Just thought it would be this wonderful, romantic comedy with the king of comedy, Cha Tae Hyun. Why, oh why? He was wonderful playing the "fool".

Get the tissues out. That's all I'm saying.

This was a great movie for the whole family. Such a sweet, sweet, sweet story. Please, please, please watch this. It was......well, worth your time, money, and effort

Oh, and his toast he made. Damn, if it didn't make me hungry. That was some pretty awesome looking food he was making. LOL!

Who's Got the Tape? (어깨동무 /Eoggaedongmu-2004)

Tae-sik (starred by YOO Dong-geun) is a petty gangster who hopes to get on easy street. Bonehead (starred by LEE Moon-sik) and Fencer (starred by CHOI Ryung) are his stooges. They happen to get hold of a videotape that contains a conglomerate's president handing an illegal political fund to a corrupt politician. With the detective's ID that comes into their possession, they feel like they own the world. However, as luck has it, the videotape in question disappears.

Tae-sik's gang comes into possession of a detective's ID and decides to play cops. Their abundant field experience on the dark side along with their broad knowledge on the local gangsters make them better cops than real ones. They even receive respect from them. Nothing seems to be in their way. Should they change their jobs?

At the video rental shop, Dong-moo (starred by LEE Sung-jin) happens to acquire the tape in question. Passing themselves off as cops, Tae-sik's gang blackmails Dong-moo to retrieve the tape. However, the tape goes missing, and Dong-moo has no choice but to cooperate with them in their pursuit of the missing tape. But their relationship starts off rocky. Will they be able to retrieve the tape?



OMG! This movie was a riot. You can't help but laugh at Lee Mun Shik. This man along with Cha Tae Hyun (who makes a cameo appearance) are comedic geniuses. LOL!

Lee Seung Jin was also laugh out loud funny. He played Dong-moo who was supposed to have accidently acquired the tape with evidence. There were so many scenes that I can't give them all but the one in particular that stands out in my head. Cha Tae Hyun is a suspect being questioned. Dong-moo is in the room waiting for his "friends" (the thugs) in the same room as CTH. Dong-moo starts making faces at CTH which makes him start making nasty remarks and gestures. The policeman in question thinks CTH is making those remarks at him. From that the melee ensues. I can't describe the hilarity when the true form has to be seen. OMG! This movie is worthy of a download. Total riot!! *Cha Tae Hyun, saranghae!!*

Then there is the scene at the convenience store. Dong-moo tries to impress the girl he likes by beating up a robber. Not knowing, the set up hadn't gone down yet.....he faces off with a real robber.......

Hoon (Cha Tae-hyun) is good at driving, seducing women, and getting credit card loans. He is always pressed to pay back his debts, but he's never bothered. One day, Joong-tae (Park Joong-hoon), a debt collector, came to him telling him that if he doesn't pay the debt, he will take Hoon's kidney instead. Once, Hoon and Tae takes a drunken foreigner to the hotel. Meanwhile, Hoon and Tae witnesses the foreigner being killed, and the suitcase falls into their hands. The suitcase contained a semi-conductor that was newly developed in Korea. Now the two were being chased by foreign spies and Korean intelligence agents..



OMG! I'm still laughing. This was a riot and a half. Cha Tae Hyun rules in the comedic department. His facial expressions are a hoot.

This was a laugh-out-loud funny experience. Are you down and out? Watch this. You can't help but smile. This movie gets an A+. Wow! Maybe I was just in the mood for some Korean comedy or something-something. After the first two Chinese experiences this morning, I needed a pick me up.

I think my favorite part was at the end. When Hoon and "Scarface" are fighting the one triad member. I'm sorry but crotch hits are still funny especially when Cha Tae Hyun does it.

OMG! I can't stop laughing. Hahahahahahahaha!

Kyun Woo (Cha Tae Hyun) is a gentle but naïve college student who seems to keep getting into trouble. On his way home one night, he encounters a beautiful but completely smashed young woman (Jeon Ji Hyun) who causes a scene in the subway, calls him "honey," and then passes out. With the eyes of the other subway passengers upon him, he has little choice but to take responsibility for her. Thus begins his relationship with the at-times charming, at-times violent damsel who steals his heart.


OMG! I finally broke down and watched this movie. What in the hell was I waiting on? Damn, I mad at myself for puttin this one off! This movie was like watching Soulmate. Are we pre-destined, fated, to meet the person we are supposed to be with? This movie ended so perfectly, even though I figured it out somewhere near 2/3rd's of the movie. I didn't care. Damn, if I didn't start tearing up and gulping back sobs. Damn! Damn! Damn was this freaking awesome!

I have to say my most favorite scene was when she started playing Pachelbel's Canon in D Major and once he realized it was her on stage and he walked down and gave her the single red rose. Damn! *sniff*

Cha Tae-hyun is a romantic/comedy genius!! *sigh* I don't think I'll pass up any of his movies as they come along. Dang, I'll even hunt down the ones not so easy to watch online if I have to. Whew!!!

The main story revolves around Byong-ki (Cha Tae-hyeon), a shy and bumbling police officer who has a crush on Min-kyong (Kim Seon-a), an employee of the neighborhood bowling alley.Byong-ki's quiet and almost unnoticeable attempts to woo Min-kyong are met with a problem when the boss of a local gang (Park Yeong-gyu) also falls in love with Min-kyong. The two bachelors end up competing for Min-kyong's attention while at the same time fighting each other.Besides the fact that there are holiday songs in the background of almost every scene, and that Min-kyong's birthday falls on Christmas, there is very little reason why the story has to take place during the holidays. As the story wears on, the artificial Christmas context gets to feel more and more like decorations placed around a fairly run-of-the-mill gangster comedy.



I love Kim Seon-ah! Damn that woman makes me laugh. I loved, loved, loved her in My Name is Kim Sam-Soon. Hilarious. Then she is here teamed up with Cha Tae-hyun, a funny guy in his own right. You'd think this movie should have rocked my world right? Right? Wrong. It had it's funny moments but it was more boring to me than funny. It couldn't keep my attention. It was an average movie, I guess I should say. I was really hoping for more out of this. The Christmas music annoyed the hell out of me. Maybe I just set my standards tooooooo high. Don't know. It was good but not great. If you're bored, go with it. If you have something better to do, then do that instead. I was really hoping for more to say or maybe better to add. But damn if I didn't just waste a better part of my day.

No hottie pics to add. Other than Cha Tae-hyun, there wasn't anyone else that was extraordinary.

Highway Star (복면달호, Bongmyeon Dalho-2007)

Stuck in a small town, aspiring rocker Dal Ho makes a living reluctantly playing trot at local clubs.

When small-time recording company head Jang offers Dal Ho a contract, he eagerly grabs the opportunity, believing that his time has finally come.

After he signs, however, Dal Ho discovers that he won't be rocking after all. Instead, he will be singing trot. Unable to back out of his contract, Dal Ho takes to the stage behind a mask to hide his embarrassment, and ends up an overnight sensation. The wannabe rocker seems to have found his true calling, but doing music he dislikes.

With the help of Jang and a certain cute trot singer, maybe he'll actually learn the passion of trot.


I truly liked this movie. I didn't know Cha Tae Hyun could sing...and so well! Damn! Another feel-good movie for the masses. No reason to cry, more reasons to smile. Cha Tae Hyun played the perfect part as Bong-feel/Bong Dal-ho. His naivete in music as well as in life was absorbed well into the character. With some light comedy, good music, and smart drama, this movie will give you enumerable smiles to get you through your day.

I have more respect for him than I ever did after reading his profile. Ugh. Another one bites the dust...married that is. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that he married his high school sweetheart of 13 years in 2006. We share the same wedding anniversary. *sigh* More than that, he stayed with her for that long....for so many years. Kudos to both of them. *hugs, hugs, and more hugs to you Cha-kun*
