Da-jin and Jae-yeong are very much in love and have been for the past six years. Everything about their relationship seems perfect and both of these young lovers have developed blossoming careers in this supportive environment. But, can the relationship continue to survive without change? And if it changes, will it be for the better?


At first, I thought to myself..."Wow, I found another romantic comedy!" Yeah, right. It was funny, it had some cute moments, but it (to me) was more depressing than anything. Only having dated 6 years, they start to get bored with their life as a couple. This I can totally understand having been there, done that. But I've never once thought of cheating or crossing the "faithful" line, so to speak. This movie tested the moralities of a relationship. How far would you go? I think I was more upset with the Jae-young's part. He crossed that line and it upset me beyond belief.

There was one part at the end of the movie that I wish I could quote that Da-jin said. So I'll try my best to repeat it. Relationships are like broken bones, once broken the bones will stronger than they once were before...or something like that. I have to believe that was the meaning of this movie.

Umm...I didn't know he was the former singer of the now defunct Korean boy band, GOD. I just learned something new.........

Su-wan is a sophomore in college, and she works part-time as a tutor to cover her tuition since her father lost his job and started a small chicken eatery. Tutoring is a tough job, especially since basket cases are more curious about what's underneath her skirt (The mirror is the most commonly employed device in satisfying this curiosity.) than what's in the books. Again for the zillionth time, she couldn't hack it. It's been only 7 days since she started teaching her new student, and already she's been sacked. "No tutoring, no tuition," declares her mother to make sure she understands she has no choice. So Su-wan is back on the market, and meets her next challenge -- the impossible, the unconquerable and the unreformable Ji-hoon.

He's the eldest son of a wealthy upstart. At school, he's a well-known fighter and the king of troublemakers. And what's more, he's repeating his senior year for the third time. Ji-hoon, who boasts such an impressive school record, becomes a very unwilling student of Su-wan, who's the same age but in college. She is flabbergasted by his careless manners and speech, and his incessant smoking during the lesson. Extremely tempted to quit, Su-wan is determined not to lose this job since she doesn't want to disappoint her Mom. Yes, she'll bring him down on his knees and under her control, so as it may seem as she tries to convince herself, but Ji-hoon tramples on her courage with his bluntness:

"Hey babe, just sit over there for two hours and then leave. I'll make sure you get paid." "Oh, sure, why not."

That's how their lessons began. And from then on, things started happening one after another.



God, I really love this movie. This is my second time watching it. LOL! The first time I watched this, I had no clue who Kwon Sang Woo or Kim Ha Neul was. Watching this again, as I've become more familiar with names and faces, surprises me. Kwon Sang Woo, I will never get tired of looking at. He can play comedy, drama, action in the blink of an eye. He does them so well.

I guess I really needed to watch this because I'm feeling so down. My husband is in the US Army and has left for the "sandbox" (Iraq) again for the 3rd time. Ugh. Today, I'll be watching lots of romantic comedies to get me in a better mood. No sad, tragic romances...that would just make me suicidal. That means no Koizora for a long, long, long, long, long time.

So back to a better note...sorry there.

I think this was my very first Korean movie. I can't think of any that would pre-date this one. Anyway, this is one of my favorites and one of many that I have downloaded via internet!

Jung Hyoung (Lee Sung-jae) and Woo Sung (Song Seung-hun) got lost in the mountainous region in Alaska with Jung Hyoung even got his leg injured. They keep talking about everything from themselves to their loved ones so as to keep each other awake in an ice cave. Jung Hyoung tells Woo Sung the woman he used to love while Woo Sung unfolds his first love to him. But never have they thought that it is the same woman (Kim Ha-neul) they are talking about.



Never in my wildest imaginations did I think I would come away from this last 20+ minutes of this movie in a weeping mess. I'm still teary-eyed and hiccupping. I haven't cried this hard in a movie since the opening day of Titanic. Sheesh!

Even though I cried like a big wuss, I don't like the idea of the one guy having an affair behind his wife's back. That's all I'm going to say on the topic because I'll throw the whole movie right out the window for those who wish to watch it.

I've read many a review on this movie stating it starts out slow. I didn't think so. I thought it was paced rather well and kept me along for the teary-eyed ride.

This story is based on the old Korean drama standby...the love triangle...except the guys didn't know it at the time until after being trapped up on the snowy mountain where the story begins and ends. The story is based on their stories of Kyung-min, the woman they both love. Trying to stay awake, after a terrible accident, they recount the love of their life not knowing at the time it's the same woman.

Keep the tissue handy because as the story comes to it's climax you'll be a balled up mess. *damn this runny nose and hiccups*

Song Seung Hun

In this endearing supernatural love story spanning two decades, a university student finds himself communicating with a female classmate from the same school through an antique ham radio, but is soon shocked to learn that she's actually living in a different time period -- 1979, to be exact. Even though they can't meet and they realize it would take a miracle to bring them together in the same era, they begin to fall in love....

The story at first glance is pretty similar to the Hollywood production Frequency, but the differences upon viewing are significant enough. So-eun (played by Kim Ha-Neul), is a university student who has a crush on her classmate. One day she chances across a HAM radio (an old type of radio transmitter) which she take home. She is then contacted by a HAM radio hobbyist known as In (played by Yoo Ji-Tae) who happens to come from the same university as her. Anxious to learn how to operate the ham radio to impress her crush, So-eun agrees to meet In the following day in front of the school clock-tower to get an instruction manual from him. It is during this attempt to meet each other and the subsequent events that follow that we are introduced to the first major twist of the movie. So-eun is from 1979, where the clock-tower is still under construction, while In is from 2000. There is no real attempt to explain this phenomena on the movie’s part, but there isn’t really a need since this little time-travel element is only a means of furthering the plot, not an end to the plot itself......

As I write this, the tears that I have been shedding are still running down my face. Such a truly beautiful, sad love story. *God, I need more tissue!*
