Another drama that started off so well......then sort of fell apart.....but then really made no sense.....then the end (to me) was anticlimactic.

Really, the only reason I watched this show was the comedy/acting of Ji Soo's brother Sang Chul. OMG! First of all, he is terribly FINE! But his teamwork with Dong Baek was hilarious. Those two really worked well together through out the show. And the infatuation that Dong Baek's sister had for Sang Chul (well, I knew how she felt) was too cute. I was actually routing for those two even though in Korean culture in-laws are forbidden.

I read so many reviews for the downfall of Kang Mo (the boyfriend who made Ji Soo's life hell). Actually, I sort of felt sorry for him. I mean I really believed he loved Ji Soo but the manipulation from his father made his life a living hell. Yeah, he's a grown man and could have ignored or rebelled against his father but that is so easy to say. Anyway, his relationship with Ji Soo was terminated even though he desperately held on as long as he could. Sang Chul was no help and well, Dong Baek finally grew balls and made Kang Mo miserable as well. *sigh*

This was a great time waster but I probably won't watch it again. It was alright but really could have been written better or added just more depth or fire to the story. Seemed a bit dull with the exception of Sang Chul. *dreaming*

Locked in a fragile détente with its famine-wracked, communist neighbor to the North, South Korea lives in a state of constant national emergency. It is policed by a task force of special agents whose personal lives have withered and died as they root out infiltrators and sleeper agents, rush from crisis to calamity, pursue rumors of war and chase terrorists who vanish like ghosts. One particular phantom, a female North Korean sniper named Hee, has led agents Ryu (Han Suk-Gyu) and Lee (Song Kang-Ho) through a nightmare of burnt corpses and bloody crime scenes for ten years before suddenly vanishing. One year later she resurfaces, and with her comes a squad of North Korean commandos who have infiltrated Seoul and master-minded the theft of an experimental explosive.

A whirlwind of fear and paranoia engulfs the city as civilian targets are bombed and Agents Lee and Ryu chase an enemy who is always one charred and blackened step ahead of them. As Agent Lee is pulled in two directions by his fragile fiancée, Hyun, and the dead-eyed terrorist, Hee, the personal becomes the political and in the blink of an eye affairs of the political and in the blink of an eye affairs of the heart become affairs of state.

This was a freaking awesome movie!!! OMG! The action was unbelievable. The very beginning of the movie we witness the making of a female sniper in North Korea. It was the coolest thing. That tipped me off that this was going to be good!

I will admit withing the first 30 minutes of the movie I figured out some of the story on my own. I'm sure of you will figure it out...and some of you will still be beating your heads against the wall. Even figuring the plot, it was still an awesome movie.

The ending was perfect. Totally perfect in everyway! Which I can't divulge......

If you don't mind a bit of blood, lots of cool action, suspense, mystery, and drama.....this is the one for you. Add a sprinkle of romance...and voila!

The credits listed my man Lee Jong Hyuk but I saw him nowhere. This was made in 1999 so he was probably an extra. *sigh*

So what’s the big deal about having a little fun and romance when it could perhaps brighten things up a bit?



Alright this movie was so against ever moral in my being...it was awful. Both of the parents screwing around on the other, one with a high school kid, the other with some easy chick. They both have a son. Let's just say karma intervened and they both probably deserved the punishment they got even though it was mainly caused by the husband. Either way, the sex was good but other than that.....pitifully sick in the head. I'm apalled Korea let a movie of this caliber loose into theaters. Eeergh. Let's just say I watched it in hopes for some moral values to be unleashed at the end......but no....it just ended. Dang, what a waste of 2 hours!

Chang Hu (Yim Chang Jung) finds himself on the verge of poverty, as he struggles to make ends meet, while keeping his financial difficulties a secret from his dutiful, cheery wife Seon Ae (Seo Yung Hi). Chang Hu is being hassled by Seong Won (Kim Su Ro), an embittered ex-basketball player-turned-debt collector, who is surprised to learn that he's got a six-year-old daughter (the adorable Kim Yu Jeong), who just so happens to be suffering from a life-threatening medical condition. While in the hospital, she's often visited by her "boyfriend", a young boy who turns out to be the son of a sassy divorcee named Yu Jeong (Uhm Jung Hwa, from Singles). While appearing on a television show, the ballsy doctor finds herself butting heads with Detective Nah (Hwang Jung Min, from You Are My Sunshine), a tough-talking, Rambo-loving cop whose experience with the ladies is practically nil. Of course, the bickering twosome soon find they may like each other more than they think.

But that's only half the cast. Yu Jeong's ex-husband is shown to be an uptight music industry big shot named Jo (Chun Ho Jin), who has to confront his gay past head-on when he hires a male housekeeper (Kim Tae Hyun). The film's other two stories include one about nun-in-training Su Gyeong (Yoon Jin Seo) who falls for a fading pop star named Jeong Hun (Jung Kyung Ho), and another tale about an elderly theater owner (Ju Hyun) who takes a shine to the vivacious, but aging actress (Oh Mi Hi), who runs a coffee shop located on his property.

As the film proceeds, the narrative strands begin to cross as the events of each story begin to have consequences for the other characters, all of whom are, in their own way, trying to find happiness in an increasingly uncertain world. Loneliness, unemployment, strained family relations, and impending death are just a few of the not-so-pleasant themes that resonate through many of the tales spun in All For Love.



The premise of this movie was like no other Korean drama/comedy movie. At first, they had several stories that were a collage of scenes and left your brain trying to figure out what goes where, and who belonged to who. But as the movie went about it's business, all the scenes started to mix together and make more sense as you started to relate to what was going on.

I loved how they figured out how to make all the couples and relationships come together. My favorite couple were Su Gyeong (nun to be) and Jeong Hun (pop star). I wasn't too happy how they had this relationship end but the others ended on a better yet happier note.

If you can get past the mosaic of relationships at the beginning, you'll really like this movie. It does take awhile to catch on but the stories come together and you find yourself routing for all or one of the couples. Really nice and sophisticated type movie. Totally wonderful way of putting a movie together. Real cool!
