In all-boys school with a tradition of Princesses (boys chosen to attend school functions dressed up as girls to alleviate the tension between the students), Yutaka Mikoto, Shihoudani Yuujirou and Kouno Tooru are this year's chosen Princess team. Dissatisfied with the half-hearted efforts of the current Princesses, Hanazono Otoya creates his own team of Dark Princesses to rival for the students' attention.

Hmm? This was an average drama. It was okay. Not the best. In actuality, it bored the crap out of me the first few episodes but held on for improvement which it did.

It wasn't overly funny. I guess you could say this was a boredom buster since all my favorites have completed already or I'm waiting for updates of new episodes. I don't think I would have held on for those few episodes but had nothing else to do.

The guys were cute. That wasn't a lie. But the story wasn't all that intriguing. A little yaoi here and there but nothing that had my heart go pitter-patter.

This drama, to me, had no focus, no moral to the story, no learning experience. It was okay fun...thankfully the story picked up or I would have killed 4 hours of my not-so-exciting life.

Sukitomo (2007)

The young and earnest Tomokazu (Saito Takumi) is in his third year of university and a member of the boxing team. He has a close friendship with freshman Yoshiki (Aiba Hiroki), whom he sees as a little brother. Little does he know, however, Yoshiki's feelings for him run a lot deeper. To add to the confusion, Tomokazu's stepsister Misao (Komatsu Airi) also secretly likes him and becomes jealous of his relationship with Yoshiki. What will Tomokazu do when he finds out their true feelings?


I was slightly disappointed in this small movie. I had gotten the impression that this was a yaoi movie but it sort of was but it wasn't. It was really one-sided. Tomo seemed to show no interest in Yoshi while Yoshi seemed to have true feelings for Tomo. Then we have the step-sister thing. She is terribly young but infatuated with her step-brother, Tomo. Okay, Tomo is hot and all but I don't think he had any clue of "loving" his sister in that way. I was routing for Yoshi in this one.

Anyway, in the end Yoshi and Misao (Tomo's stepsister) sort of bond as they each recognize their love for Tomo. It was a bit weird since the whole movie's basis was their jealousies towards each other. I was hoping for some kind of recognition on Tomo's part for one of them.

Ehh. This could have been better.

Saito Takumi

Boys Love (ボーイズ ラブ, Boizu Rabu-2006)

Boys Love is a Japanese film that released on DVD on November 24, 2006. The movie tells the story of Akira Mamiya (Yoshikazu Kotani), a magazine reporter who meets and interviews a popular young model, Noeru Kisaragi (Takumi Saito), and becomes attracted by him.

Mamiya invites him out for dinner, it somehow progresses to a sexually charged scene in the bathroom. Noeru advances on Mamiya, and leads him to a cubicle for action.

The incident leaves Noeru wanting more of Mamiya. Mamiya can’t stop thinking about Noeru too. In order to meet Mamiya again, Noeru calls the magazine house to complain about Mamiya, and demands Mamiya comes down to apologize personally.

The next morning, Noeru’s representative calls the magazine house to complain about Mamiya’s rudeness. Mamiya goes down to Noeru’s house to apologize, and meets Chidori, a close companion of Mamiya. After a heart-felt dialogue at Noeru’s house, Mamiya and Noeru become closer to each other, spending most of their time together.

Chidori becomes jealous of their growing relationship and reveals his obsessive compulsion with Neoru. At the same time Neoru soon begins to break his initial promise to Mamiya. All this ends in a heart wrenching ending that sees both of them sitting on the train leaving Tokyo…



Okay, I watch Itsuka no Kimi E and became so intrigued with Saito Takumi, I just had to watch Boys Love. Okay, and yeah, it's another yaoi movie. More graphic to the point that it sort of had me turning my head. I hope they are paying him an arm and leg for those "special" parts of the movie. "Whoa!" is all I can say.

I didn't cry. I don't know why. This I think should have had me balling like a baby. Maybe, yet again, I'm still washed up from Koizora. Yes, Koizora was that good!

I guess it was hard for me to actually see a relationship between Mamiya and Noeru. The very first few minutes Mamiya was practically raped by Noeru. I understand there were reasons that Noeru was the way he was. He was an emotional mess from the start. Mamiya being a kind heart fell for him. There were some sweet moments that really tugged your heart. I don't think though there was enough to get me severely emotionally attached to this movie. Or maybe the graphic scenes was a bit too much to get me heart-spelled. I'm not saying it was a terribly bad movie but there just wasn't enough to make me yearn. Oh, but I will say that if you are really a tender heart....it's a weeper.

Kotani Yoshikazu

Itsuka no Kimi e - Zutto Soba Ni Itehoshi, 2007)

After Noboru saves Hayase from drowning by giving him mouth-to-mouth, Hayase grows confused about his feelings. It doesn't help that around the same time he meets Noboru's twin brother Ryu who has a very different, outgoing personality.

Older brother Noboru is a quiet and introverted photography student, while younger brother Ryu is energetic and outgoing. Noboru attracts the curiosity of classmate Kouhei (Kawai Ryunosuke), whose friendship with the brothers brings changes into their lives and relationships.

Where do I begin? This was the first yaoi ("boy-love") movie I've ever scene. Yes, I've never seen Brokeback Mountain. Got a problem with that?

The homosexuality is just a backdrop of the real story. The real story? It's about twin brothers. Nobura, the quiet, introvert. Ryo, the outgoing. Nobura most of his life has spent his life trying to live up to Ryo's standard. If you have ever seen the Taiwan drama, MARS, it has almost the exact same story line of the twin brothers. ALMOST!

Then we have Hayase who has somehow connected to Nobura. After a canoeing accident, Nobura saves his life (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation). There first "kiss?" From that point on, I became intrigued.

It was strange watching a man fall in love with a man. I'm not against a homosexual relationship, at all. It's vexing really. Being bombarded day in and day out with heterosexual relationships because the American government is "scared", we are given what we are given by the mass media. When "Ryo" kissed Hayase, my heartbeat stopped for a second and it *sighed*. This was a great storyline. And if you don't have much time...this movie was just a minute over an hour long.

Okay, big question. Is he gay? I just want to know. He is so cute on the eyes...so he must by right? Why I ask? Well, I know it's just acting but the last three of his movies were yaoi........

Somebody please answer that question. Inquiry minds want to know..................
