Okay, I'm going to type this up before adding the cast, synopsis, and pics.

This drama was so wonderful! But......I will never watch this again. I will be crying the rest of the day and all eternity. I had no idea this would turn out just like Heaven's Tree. I had a feeling something was up when they kept hinting about watching out for cars and organ donors. If you don't know what I'm talking about by now.....you must be brain dead. Yeah, I just spoiled the ending. But don't let that bother you because this drama had so many popular faces in it. I was so excited that my toes curled and my blood boiled.

This drama touched on important scenarios in our everyday lives....especially organ donation and teen pregnancy.

The important factoid that was stressed entirely in this drama was to be TRUE TO YOURSELF.

Now I'm a little beefed because this was a Japanese drama and it ended like a Korean one. I was not happy at all but then I was too busy shedding enough tears that I became a human Niagara Falls. Yeah, it was that good of an ending!!!

A definite tear-jerker if your willing to spare the water weight from your body. It'll take days to get over this one. How will I sleep tonight?

Now I shall post pics of guys I haven't posted of before...........shall I?

Seven young men desperate for quick money arrive at a desolate seaside bar Dog Days to be auditioned for "hosts" - a highly popular occupation to entertain female patrons with smooth talk and soothing smile while offering drinks at the "host clubs." Although their previous jobs vary from a street performer to an ex-banker, they are all happy to get the dream job easily until they discover that the "manager" has run away with their deposits! Seeing them discouraged, the sympathetic bar owner offers his place to open up a host club by themselves. With the help of his granddaughter Chika, who has a heart disorder, despite their initial confusion mixed with personal problems and a typhoon that almost blew down the place, they gradually find the true meaning of friendship, trust and love.

This was an "okay" movie. It really wasn't all that. The movie really didn't consider the script very well. So it seemed too rushed to fit into the time alloted. I think many things were missing. I didn't understand the relationship with Ryuhei and Minako. I didn't feel that love connection. That was a bust.

I think this was made for Shun-kun and the eye-candy involved. Nothing other than lots of candy-coated sugar but no chocolate, peanuts or caramel. Ya know?

There wasn't really anything good to say about this movie. Too much fluff. Well, again, there was the Shun-kun......................

Ah, it's finally finished. Okay, the last episode was surprising to say the least. Let's just say Mimi, if you haven't watched the final episode yet, marries somebody you'd least expect.

I knew Shiraishi would leave. That was sad. I was hoping that he and Kazumi would work together with their "recycling" job.

This show wasn't all that. There were some episodes that were boring as hell, some that were surprisingly funny, and some that made no damn sense at all. I watched it only because it had the "Shun-kun" and Haruma-kun in it. Period.

This show could have been by far better. So I'll just say that it helped me waste some time if I needed to.

Ahhh but alas....more pics of two of my favorite guys.

Spring Story (2004)

Starring:
Shun Oguri
Aki Nishihara
Kei Tanaka

A tale of two high school students who like each other, but have difficulties expressing their feelings for each other. The guy always seems to make the girl angry and they fight often.

The guy wants to be a super star basketball player, the girl inspires to be a designer, each trying to find their own path in life.

This being only an hour long, follows the life of 3 friends starting from their senior year in high school into adulthood. It was quite amazing actually how the story flowed so well in just that short amount of time.

Again, it's another movie about fate. This gave me chills at the end because we discover what happens from the time they meet again from the beginning of the movie. *SIGH!!* You just have to love how the hand of fate work and how true love stands against the hands of time.

You just want to reach through the TV screen (or the computer screen as that is how it is for me....LOL!) and just want to grab onto Oguri Shun and never let go.....................

Robokon ( ロボコン -2003)

AKA: Robot Contest
Robokon
Starring:
Masami Nagasawa - Satomi Hazawa
Shun Oguri - Koichi Aida
Atsushi Ito - Yotsuya
Takashi Tsukamoto - Kazuyoshi Takeuchi
Kazuma Suzuki - Zushi sensei
Risa Sudo - Sasaki sensei
Tsuyoshi Ujiki - Yoshiyuki Hazawa
Hideko Yoshida - Obaba
YosiYosi Arakawa - Gohara
Sei Hiraizumi - Wakita sensei

This film is based on a real technological competition opened every year in Japan since 1988.

Satomi (NAGASAWA Masami) is a student of a technical college. She is a lazy girl and poor at both study and club activities. One day, a teacher tells her she is short of credits and needs to have extra lessons. More lessons will be killing her, but the teacher gives her a proposal that if she joins the second robot club of the college and takes part in the coming RoboCon with the club, he will accept that as the credit.“Robot Contest” or RoboCon is competed by one hundred and twenty-four teams from sixty-two technical colleges - two teams from each college. Every team consists of one robot and three members of crew - a captain, an operator and a mechanic. The captain of Satomi’s team is the club leader Yotsuya (ITO^ Atsushi), who has dropped out of the first robot club of the college because it is too tightly organized, but is worried about too few members of his club and his small gift of robot operation. The mechanic is Aida (OGURI Shun), who is a lonely genius - having enough gifts in technological fields and no cooperation. And the operator is Satomi, who has never operated a robot before. Their robot is named “BOXhund”, designed with outstanding ideas but still incomplete .

The matches are a single elimination tournament. Two teams compete to make their robot carry more objects to the respective goal within three minutes. The design of the robot is free while it meets some requirements - the weight, the size when it stands still, the power supply, the budget, and so on. The first robot club wins the preliminary matches and proceeds to the final stage like every year; the second robot club loses the first round like every year. But it is not usual that the second robot club is invited to the final stage as one of two teams by recommendation of the judges. They have praised the design concept of “BOXhund”.

Satomi encourages the other members to win the final stage. Her team’s miserable defeat in the first round has awoke her long-sleeping competitive spirit. But they have a lot of problems to face - the incomplete robot, Satomi’s poor operation technique, little cooperation between the members, and having only a few months until the final stage.

It is touching that the club members try to make their way to the final top. ~~crunchy

I downloaded this movie ages ago and completely forgot about it until last night when I was on the hunt for a particular movie. You know somedays you want a thriller, some days a comedy, and some days a romance.

I happened upon Robokon and got that jolt of "deja vu" then it was like "oh yeah!" I have this movie on my hard drive. Duh!

So this morning, I opened it up and away I went.

This movie wasn't the greatest of my Shun-kun movies. Adorable as ever and with his best bud Takashi even sweeter!

The movie, to me, starts out a little abrupt and messy. There wasn't a clear line of communitcation from to the movie to me. I kept going...:"huh?" It wasn't till the middle of the movie that it started to make sense. Or maybe the subs weren't clear enough for me. Not sure. I need to learn Japanese quick!

This was a great time killer. I'll probably end up burning this on DVD but it's not going to be seen anytime soon again. I'd probably watch this out of boredom.

Neighbor No. 13 (隣人13号, Rinjin 13-gô -2005)

Neighbor 13
Starring:
Shido Nakamura - 13-gô / No. 13
Shun Oguri - Jûzô Murasaki
Hirofumi Arai - Tôru Akai
Yumi Yoshimura - Nozomi Akai
Tomoya Ishii - Hajime Seki
Minoru Matsumoto - Shinigami / God of Death
Hitori Gekidan - Comedian on TV
Mitsuru Murata
Takashi Miike - Kaneda

"That was the other me who's in my body."

Juzo Murasaki is a young introvert who's moved to a new town where he has a new job.

On his first day at a construction site he meets his foreman and realises that, to his quiet horror, the foreman is no other than Toru Akai.

Akai was solely responsible for making Juzo's life hell by bullying him for years at school. It soon becomes clear that Akai - now a married man with a kid - hasn't changed one bit. He's still a callous, mean-streaked bully who's bent on mistreating people under his control. Although he doesn't recognise his former victim, he automatically adds Juzo to his list of victims at the construction site.

When Juzo discovers that Akai lives upstairs from him at their apartment block, he's started to feel the effects of his traumatic experiences of being bullied by Akai and his crones.

These effects give strength to his alter ego - a scarred, mentally deranged man named No. 13 - that slowly takes over Juzo to start a highly orchestrated vengeance against those who hurt Juzo, past and present.

OMG! This movie was totally wigged out! I was not expecting a totally new Oguri Shun. Okay, not new but a totally different character than his norm. Sweet, innocent, cute, nice, romantic......and so on.

If there was one movie that maximized the anti-bullying campaign it would be this one. DEFINITELY!

This movie harnassed the main theme that what comes around goes around. But, revenge doesn't always work the way you want it to. There are responsibilities from everyone not just the affected and the affectors.

OH! The naked Oguri Shun was a definite plus. He dances naked! LOL!

Kisaragi (2007)

Kisaragi Cover

Starring:
Teruyuki Kagawa - Ichigo Musume
Keisuke Koide - Snake
Shun Oguri - Guru
Yusuke Santamaria - Oda Yuji
Muga Tsukaji - Yasuo
Kanako Sakai - Kisaragi Miki

One year after the suicide of C-list model Miki, five of her fans come together for a commemorative meeting: fan club leader Iemoto (Shun Oguri), Oda Yuji (Yusuke Santamaria), Snake (Koide Keisuke), Yasuo (Tsukaji Muga), and Ichigo Musume (Kagawa Teruyuki). Sitting down together for the first time, they reminisce about their idol, wondering how someone so bright and beautiful could have possibly taken her own life. It just doesn't make sense. That's when they reach a revelation - she must have been murdered! The five heatedly discuss her death, expressing their suspicions and weighing the many clues and possibilities. The more they talk, the more the case takes shape in their minds, and the closer they come to the truth..

What is it with all these great freakin' movies? Kisaragi was the most interesting movie I have seen. It's set in one room with 5 guys. It's funny, serious, interactive, and suspenseful.

At first, I really thought this was a bust because Oguri Shun's character seemed dorky but then as the story went on....it all made sense.

The storyline was awesome. I can't say much because then the whole movie would be a waste for you. But I will say that once they came to their final conclusion and it involves Guru. I was in tears because I was sooooo damn happy. Finally, he wasn't the loner but the most valued. If you make it to the end of the movie, which I'm sure you will once you start watching, you'll be just as shocked as I was. It was a lovely story about how even one person can make a wonderful impression when they least thought they did. Totally wonderful movie. One of OS' best!!!!

Lament of the Lamb (Hitsuji no Uta-2002)

Hitsuji no Uta
Starring:
Natsuki Kato~Chizuna Takashiro
Minami~You Yaegashi
Shun Oguri~Kazuna Takashiro
Kazuma Suzuki~Doctor Minase

Ever since his mother died, Kazuna Takashiro has been living under the roof of Mr. And Mrs. Eda, who are his father's friends. One day, he passes out while working as a model in an art class. Repeated nightmarish imageries invade his mind, and without even knowing, he heads toward his old home.

Once he gets there, he is reunited with his older sister, Chizuna, who tells him about the secret of the grave "illness" that runs in their family. An illness that make them overcome with a desire for blood of others.

When Kazuna's symptoms are all apparent with shivering fit and all, Chizuna tries to give him her own blood, and remarks that nothing can be done about it...

Okay, this movie totally wigged me out. I don't think I liked this. Oguri Shun rocked as usual but he couldn't keep this movie afloat. I know this was a manga/anime. I don't think I would have liked those either. God forbid. Some serious incestual undertones near the end. The complete ending made no sense either. What the ......? It started out really interesting then just couldn't keep my interest as the plot of the story couldn't come together. The movie was sort of slow but that didn't bother me at all it was just the story line.

If you watch this movie, you must be in some really dire need of the Shun-kun. Other than that...this movie wasn't worth a Mexican peso. Sorry..................

Stand Up!!!

Stand Up!
Starring:
Ninomiya Kazunari as Asai Shouhei
Yamashita Tomohisa as Iwasaki Kengo
Suzuki Anne as Oowada Chie
Narimiya Hiroki as Udagawa Hayato
Oguri Shun as Enami Kouji
Tsukamoto Takashi as Kume Naoya

Four schoolboys find themselves the last virgins left at school. During the summer holidays, a girl they knew as children 11 years ago, moves back to the neighborhood. Despite their childhood attraction to her, they realize she is a mere shadow of the "princess" they all thought they knew. This story of summer - love, friendship, school, family, the hypocrisy of adults, complications of life, experience and failure is set in an everyday shopping district and shows the clumsiness of children who have developed a little later than their peers. It's a bright romantic comedy that both young and old can appreciate. --TBS

OMG! I found another awesome drama! This is highly recommended for all teens (beware parents some nudity in 2-3 episodes but not lengthy). This was funny, poignant, sad, naive, hopeful, and reminiscent of high school life. You can't help but stand up and clap at how the parents tried so hard to keep their kids "pure". Then as many times as the guys swore to their abstinance they couldn't help but wish for their first time. LOL! God knows how much money they spent on condoms and never used them.

It was a funny romp with serious undertones. I think most girls would hope to have those 4 guys to be their first. Friends are usually our first crushes and loves. And are deemed worthy to defend and protect us from foul play. These guys showed their true colors when Chie's honor was crushed. Stand Up was the perfect name for this show. I don't know how many times I wanted to "Stand Up" and cheer for the great episodes and acts of courage these guys had to go through.

This was a wonderful eye-opener for the puberty ridden kid. Consequences on both sides. Is it worth it now or to wait? Kume Naoya was the perfect protagonist and antagonist for love and sex. Totally loved this show.

I love a good show that has a story and hidden meanings that go along with it. Hey, and add some members of the Japanese Brat Pack and there ya go!!

Horikita plays the protagonist Ashiya Mizuki, a Japanese girl in the U.S. who one day sees the young athlete Sano Izumi compete in high jumping on television. She begins to idolize him. Sano gets injured one day in America while trying to help Mizuki escape from some gangsters. He stops high jumping ever since. Mizuki blames herself for the incident and decides to go to Japan and help Sano find his love for high jumping. However, Izumi goes to an all-boys school, so Mizuki disguises herself as a boy in order to meet with him again.

So many cute guys, not enough blog space. *sighs then frowns* I had to watch this again. Why? Well, it was one of the first jdramas that I watched. At that time, I didn't know who Oguri Shun, Mizushima Hiro, Shirota Yuu, Ishigaki Yuma, or anyone else was at the time. I was a newbie through and through. Watching it again, I'm more aware and appreciative of it this time around. Oh, Oguri Shun.....*sighs*.

If you noticed when they showed torso shots, his left breast is sunken in. At the time I didn't realize but he has a genetic disorder called Pectus Excavatum. It was quite obvious this time around since I couldn't take my eyes of his absolutely cute self. The disorder didn't matter though. In pics, I'm sure they photoshop those to hide the minor problem. I say MINOR because it definitely is no big deal.

If you haven't seen this drama, why haven't you? This is any drama fanatic favorite. You'll know by all the forums that worship this show. I have to agree, the hottie factor is HUGE!!!

There were so many things I missed the first time. This time around, I was able to focus and be aware of its testosteronal surroundings. Hehe!

I think I might watch Nodame Cantabile again because I miss Chiaki....*smiles* Tamaki Hiroshi was my first love....*sighs then giggles*

This time around...I'm putting pics of the not so popular guys and because I don't have enough space to put more Oguri Shun up. (OMG! I can't believe I said that.)

Who to put? Who to put?
