Sin (Jang Dong Gun, who also played the lead role in “Friend”), a North Korean who as a child attempted to defect to the South with his family but was betrayed, resulting in the deaths of his parents. Plotting genocidal revenge, Sin takes up with a group of Thai pirates, and steals a U.S. ship carrying nuclear devices which have been secretly manufactured in Taiwan . He is pursued by Kang Se Jong (Lee Jeong Jae, also in the 2000 romantic hit “Il Mare”), a naval officer who attempts to bring Sin to justice, though who gradually comes to understand, and even sympathise with his foe.



This move was freakin' awesome! Totally freakin' awesome! I loved it from the beginning to the very end. Oh yeah...I was a blubbering idiot but then if I cry that means it had to have touched me in some way.

In actuality, you couldn't help but eventually fall for the bad guy. In actuality, was he really a bad guy? Okay, he was threatening to kill every South Korean with nuclear explosives. Okay, he killed a bunch of people in the process of getting said nuclear weapons.

But as the story flashed back and forth between his life as a kid and adult, you actually wonder if he wasn't doing the right thing...sort of. Okay, not every South Korean should die but the person/people who made his life and family's life a living hell. Yeah, they should suffer a gruesome death. But he was so "messed" in the head, filled with hatred, well......you really couldn't blame his feelings at the time.

So in this same process, our hero starts to understand the same things you as a viewer will feel. He understood Sin's desire and will to finish what was started 20 year's earlier. The movie was way to good to give up. I really loved it. Again, for us girlies....make sure you have some tissues handy. God! Was it good.

Oh! Brothers stars Jung-Jae Lee as Sang-wu, a jaded paparazzi photographer who deals with the less-than-moral side of life. Squeezed for money by a crooked detective, Sang-wu is forced to become a debt collector, a profession he finds little success in.

His problems become exacerbated when his estranged father dies and leaves him with a surprise: Bong-gu (Beom-su Lee), his 12-year-old half-brother who looks to be in his mid-30s due to a rapid aging disorder.

This is a freaking top-notch movie. I loved it! Loved, loved, loved it! From the very beginning of the movie...(OMG! It's hilarious!) to the end. It was exquisitely made for a comedy.

From the beginning when Sang-woo extorts money from the couple who are having an affair, he gets $200,000 (won) for bogus pictures the couple think of them. Nope. They are pictures of pigs and a pig farm. As Sang-woo runs out of the restaurant, the expressions on their exposed faces was priceless.

To the end, when Sang-woo sends his brother a picture, but it wasn't just that but the feeling of satisfaction. Some Korean endings leave you either in disgust or unfulfilled. Rarely do they end the way you want or happily. This one was worth every minute of this movie. Satisfied? Yes. Gratified? Yes. Am I happy? Deliriously so.

Jin-soo works at a local weather channel as an anchorman. His life is pretty simple until the day he got into a car accident. Fortunately he didn’t get any serious physical injuries but he’s suffering from partial amnesia. Trying to get back to his normal life, he finds clues about a woman that he seemed to have had a lot of feeling for in the past. With only a few hints, Jin-soo decides to search out the identity of this woman.

His investigation will lead him to Yeon-hee, a girl friend he knew since high school. With the help of Yeon-hee, Jin-soo will start to put together the pieces of the puzzle but will soon start to loose interest in that mysterious passed loved women as he now found someone who seems to really care about him in the person of Yeon-hee.



This was a beautiful story. A man who loses parts of his memory especially that of the woman he loved most. As he fights to regain those memories, he sets in motion the truth of why he loved her most.

The movie was easy to figure out but I still stuck with it hoping it wouldn't end badly. The movie went back-and=forth between present and past scenes so you every once in a while had to figure out what part of his life it was.

It was very interesting to watch with the fact that even though he lost his memory while regaining those memories back he still felt the same about her no matter what.

It was a beautiful romance with an uplifting spirit. This is the kind of movie that gives me a "high" during the day.

Sung-hyun, who just moved into ' Il mare ' receives a strange letter. The letter is from a young woman in the year 1999, two years from the present. Her predictions about the past are amazingly accurate. Her warning about a flurry of snow on a certain day in January of 1998 and the ensuing flu virus turns out to be true.

Eun-joo is convinced that her letter has traveled back in time to December of 1997 and starts writing regularly to her newfound pen pal. A professional voice actor, Eun-joo asks Sung-hyun to find her long lost cassette recorder at a train station. Sung-hyun goes to the train station and gets a glimpse of Eun-joo, who of course, has no idea who he is.

After he receives his father's last book from the future Sung-hyun belatedly realizes his father's love for him. He confesses his selfishness at his father's grave. Eun-joo's old flame returns from the United States. But he's found himself a new love and is planning to marry her. Heartbroken, her only hope is that Sung-hyun will stop her from letting Ji-hoon go in the first place. Faced with the prospect of losing Eun-joo whom he's grown to love, Sung-hyun decides to make the ultimate sacrifice by stopping her from sending her boyfriend away.

Eun-joo visits Sung-hyun's school and is shocked to find out he died two years ago in a car crash. She realizes too late that she is in love with him too. He died on his way to stop Eun-joo from letting her boyfriend leave to the U.S. Eun-joo races against time to Il mare to warn Sung-hyun.



I've never once seen the American remake the Lake House. I'm glad I haven't only because from what I was told, this movie...the original...was far more better!



I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this only because it's Korean and are known for making me cry buckets because they never end happily. These tears I shed were for both of them. True Love....OMG! This was a beautiful tale. If only if these things could really happen....a "wrinkle" in time........



The movie was slow but well worth it. Love can't be rushed. *tears running down my cheeks as they slowly drop onto my shorts and run down my neck*



Tales like these can't be redone. Once in a lifetime can something so beautiful be told............
