Routine actioner from Dante Lam succeeds thanks to attention to detail and believably human performances. Another in the “cop soap opera” genre, Hit Team details the clash between two groups of cops. One is the special “Hit Team,” designed to go after heavily armed bad guys, and the other are a group of rogue cops robbing underground banks.

Alex To leads the rogue cops, who are actually stealing the money to fund an operation for their crippled buddy Chin Kar-Lok, who was shot by evil triads and hung out to dry by his superiors. The Hit Team is led by Daniel Wu, who manages to show a surprising intensity as the serious squad leader. Right off they suspect that the robberies are done by cops, and as the truth comes to light things get a bit complicated. Of course Daniel disagrees with what Alex and his pals are doing, but he agrees with their purpose. Ultimately, decisions are made and things are explained through action rather than words.



Typical HK cop movie. It was fun, lots of action (not of the kung-fu type this time around), and lots of drama.

This movie actually questioned the morality of the police department. An undercover cop gets shot in the back, becomes paralized and the department turns their back on him. Morals? What is the understanding of it? So his friends break free of the department except for one and take on an underground banking group to steal the money that was "stolen" from the injured cop who needs the surgery so he doesn't stay paralyzed.

Investigating their actions is another department section of the police department who realize that their own are breaking the laws and are determined to capture them but as time goes on and the investigation becomes more intense do they realize the understanding of the rogue cops.

This was a pretty fast paced movie. Some character descriptions were left by the wayside but the story didn't become overly tainted.

A fun ride to watch.....and Daniel Wu's character was surprisingly calm, cool, and smart compared so some of the characters he's played before. Very nice!!!

An aging cop whose life takes a precipitous tumble. A decorated cop, Chan Kwok-Wing (Jackie Chan) meets his match in a vicious group of young thugs, who kill cops for fun and "x-treme" satisfaction. After Wing boasts that he'll snag this group of young punks in three hours, the group proceeds to dismantle his ten man squad with expert precision and more than a little stylish flair. Among the dead cops is Wing's future brother-in-law (Deep Ng), a factoid that leaves Wing crying and drinking his guts out...or perhaps the reverse. Either way, he becomes a broken guy. Enter young Frank Cheng (Nicholas Tse), an overly-sprightly young cop who makes it his personal mission to bring Wing back from the brink of self-destruction. Will he succeed?

Equal simplicity is applied to the bad guys. Made up of Daniel Wu, Terence Yin, Andy On, Hayama Go, and Coco Chiang, the gang of evildoers is given pseudo-understandable psychosis by the screenplay. This group isn't really bad; they're more like misunderstood kids who've simply taken their disaffection too far...into murder and completely over-the-top crime sprees. ~HKfilms

Ok. I'm not the biggest Jackie Chan fan. However, this movie was fun! I am a total Nicholas Tse fan so that is why I broke down to see this in the first place. I was not dissappointed!

I've read that this wasn't one of JC's best Police Story movies. I guess there are like 4 or 5 of them. Not sure about that. But.....this being the first one I've seen, I really liked it. I will admit it was a little heart wrenching in the beginning to see his comrades killed. Geez, I had to turn away because I knew it wasn't going to be good. It wasn't bloody or gory...just the thought of seeing your friends die...is sickening. So that was a little rough for me. Yeah, I'm a bleeding heart. Sue me!

The kung-fu was awesome. I have to say JC's choreography is astounding. ASTOUNDING! It's just kung-fu eye candy...I tell ya.

So if your bored and need a little excitement to pump up the blood...this was a pretty good one. Watch it!

When a shipment of lethal explosives goes missing, a veteran Hong Kong policeman forms a team of off-beat young cops to track it down. These generation X law enforcers find themselves up against a similarly youthful gang boss, and the shadowy Japanese mastermind behind him.



This was a great movie! This didn't have as much as the kung-fu type action as the previous movies I have recently reviewed. The storyling kept me entertained with Sam Lee and Stephen Fung's comedic action. Sam Lee....LOL! He was a riot.

This was a great guy movie even for the young male generation. This is something I know my boys would love. Of course, Jackie Chan had to add a little comedic spice in the end. Hee-hee!

Jet (Stephen Fung) is a handsome gay hustler whose sex appeal seems to know no bounds. Everyone wants to make love to him, but he is in love with no one but himself.

Things change drastically when he notices what seems like a young couple in a shop, Sam (Daniel Wu) and Kana (Shu Qi). At first sight, he falls in love with Sam and begins following the two around.

Jet's friend Ching, who is also a hustler, runs a personal in a gay magazine for Jet, imploring Sam to contact Jet.

At first, Jet is angry at Ching for not asking him, but his wrath subsides quickly when indeed he meets Sam again in what seems like a chance encounter, but actually is an outcome of the personal.

Sam turns out to be a police officer and Jet starts to befriend Sam, hoping this will turn into a relationship. But Sam does not seem to notice Jet's intentions towards him.

Unbeknownst to Jet, Sam had a homosexual affair with pop star K.S.(Terence Yin) five years earlier. At the same time, Ching had been in unrequited love with Sam (then calling himself Fai) when the two were still office workers.

Ching comes to his apartment shared with Jet when Jet and Sam are there, instantly recognizes Sam as Fai and is furious with Jet for stealing his beloved.

The aftermath leads to a conclusion unbeknowest to Jet.....................



Hmm? It was good but not THAT good. I couldn't get into the love story because I didn't feel it was there. This movie spent too much time worrying about Jet's job as a prostitute than anything else. They didn't put enough amount of time into Jet and Sam's relationship. They did an adequate amount on updating us on Sam's past. What about Jet's? Ehh. I actually felt nothing at the end of the story.

Okay, I admit I had to stop halfway because I had to take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese's. I was looking forward to a better second half. Okay, Jet and Sam making out was oishii (delicious) that was about it.
